horrible Falcons pick. Atlanta needs a DE yes. but Atlanta doesn't take anyone with a criminal record. We would pass on Griffen and take someone with better production at the college level as well. we get Brandon Graham or Sean Weatherspoon here.

Wow. You might not make a lot of friends with that mock draft (especially Raiders fans and Redskins fans) but I think that's a hell of a mock draft. Certainly one of the more accurate ones I've seen on here. I like how you did the top seven - that has a real shot of happening. I think the Bills might be more inclined to take Anthony Davis than Trent Williams, although they're both risks in different ways. I think Kindle at #24 was a weird pick - the Eagles are probably more likely to go for Weatherspoon in that situation. And if the Bengals don't take him, I think New England would take Jermaine Gresham, or at least he's one of the only guys who makes a lot of sense at this point from both a need perspective and looking at Belichick's draft tendencies. I'd be happy with Graham though.

Berry > Okung for KC.

Let me follow up on this. Drafting an OT at 5 didn't make much sense to most Chiefs fans on this site last week and the signing of Ryan Lilja makes it less so now.

The Chiefs defense was 30th against the pass and 31st against the run. That's where I'd start.

I disagree with this. I know that most Chiefs fans really want Eric Berry and I agree that he would be a good pick at #5 overall, but think back to last year when everyone was all over Aaron Curry and B.J. Raji and they ended up making a big reach on Tyson Jackson because they had a specific position they wanted to fill. The Chiefs are unstable along the offensive line too, and ideally Branden Albert would play either guard or right tackle so if they are able to find a quality left tackle they could kill a few birds with one stone and help everyone along the line get into a spot that works better for them.

Pioli is a Belichick disciple and as such he's probably very familiar with most of the same college programs that Belichick is - one of those being Iowa. He probably sees Bulaga as a legitimate NFL left tackle and if he does I think it's going to be pretty hard to pass on him. Left tackles are also very hard to find, and so they're kind of a position where if you don't have one and you have the opportunity to grab one in the draft, you do it. Safety, on the other hand, is typically not a position people invest a high draft pick in (especially one in the top five), and despite Eric Berry's value I think there's a good chance Pioli goes for the positional need.

Pioli identifies the biggest hole on the team and drafts the BPA. You're over analyzing his moves and are just confusing yourself in the end.

Anyone that actually watched a single game could tell you easily the biggest hole on the team is Safety. We suffered through 16 weeks of watching them give career days to WRs, how about you?

I LOVE the idea and work you put into this! And I understand the Phins pick, but I just am not a big fan of it. I would very much prefer either Sergio Kindle, Derrick Morgan or JPP there instead.

I think if we somehow got Weatherspoon at 32 some GM's are going to be fired.

I'm sorry were you addressing this to me or Vidae because I never mentioned Eric Berry. Actually you seemed to miss my point completely. The Chiefs just signed Ryan Lilja (formerly of the Colts) to play guard so where does that leave Branden Albert (who played quite well at the end of the season) if we draft a LT. Do you move him to RT? That's a position that he has never played before...never. Besides RT is generally considered the "road grader" position and we have one of those in 6'7" 330 lb Ryan O'Callaghan who was solid at that position after coming over from NE.

Note: I just noticed that in your own mock draft, you have Eric Berry going to the Chiefs. Interesting!
