I took some of your input when changing this mock.

Just one trade, that I think, makes all too much sense, and personally I will be shocked if it does not happen.

Don't see that Chiefs draft happening.

As far as personal preference goes, out of four players you have going to KC, two are ones I wouldn't touch in the draft period, and I don't think TE is a top 3 round need for this team.

Nice draft for New England. Thomas doesn't really fit with Belichick's M.O. but he's a good value at that point and the Patriots could certainly use him.

You only really hit on the Bengals in the third round. Earl Thomas would be the first round pick if available since he fills a great need. In the second there is alot of other ways to go then DE. I feel Gilyard would be a better pick there myslef as a WR that can develope to replace Ocho Cinco in the future.

youve got the niners taking two wr's in the first 3 rounds. i don't really even see them taking one. Why tate over spiller?? they need a rb more than wr and spiller is a better return man (the whole reason im guessing you took tate in the first place).

The first two picks are all right for Tampa, but a C is stupid in the 3rd especially when we have one of the highest paid Cs in Jeff Faine so give us a WR. How is Josh Freeman suppose to get better if we do not give him some talent?

Pass on Jimmy?
Houston a 34 DE?
Decker in R3?

No me gusto. We grab a backup nickleback in the third and neglect our biggest need when I think we should grab two DTs in the first 3 rounds.

21) Cincinnati Bengals – Jermaine Gresham, TE Oklahoma

54) Cincinnati Bengals – Ricky Sapp, DE Clemson

84) Cincinnati Bengals – Geno Atkins, DT Georgia

If this was our draft AND we passed on Earl Thomas I would most likely stroke out then recover only to realize how ****** it was and stroke again.

You know, I actually did that last year for you guys (by mistake but none the less) and got ripped for it lol

Don't you love what a difference one season makes? Last year DT looked like a strength, then Robbens and Bernard proved they were washed up, Canty under-whelmed and Alford suffered a major knee injury, now it's a proven major weakness.

1. That trade won't happen.

2. Why the hell would the Bucs take a center despite having Jeff Faine on their roster?

ehhh so-so steelers draft. i like iupati, but i would've taken earl thomas over him and then cj spiller over both iupati and thomas

27) Dallas Cowboys – Vladimir Ducasse, OT Massachusetts
59) Dallas Cowboys – Damian Williams, WR USC
90) Dallas Cowboys – D’Anthony Smith DT/DE Louisiana Tech

Not a fan at all... at least the first two picks.

At 27 not much fell to Dallas but if this is how everything shook out it would tell everyone a lot on how they feel about Doug Free. If Free isn't thought of as the future at LT then this pick could be Campbell. Although highest value meets need here is Odrick.

At 59 I really, really, really, can't see Dallas passing on Nate Allen. He's the playmaking FS they have been sorely lacking and a major need. Personally I can't see him being available at this point but if he is he's a tremendous value. I wouldn't be surprised at all if Dallas wasn't impressed with the prospects in the first that they would try and trade down or possibly select Nate Allen with that pick. Also think a versatile WR that could bring some return man skills to the table is the more than likely pick if they were to pick WR this early (Gilyard).

At 90 I actually like this pick but if Dallas hasn't addressed the return game yet and Akwasi Owusu-Ansah or Javier Arenas were still on the board here in the late 3rd I think both bring a lot to the table.

27 - Campbell (If Free isn't seen as the future) otherwise Odrick
59 - Nate Allen
90 - Akwasi Owusu-Ansah / Javier Arenas

If it shook out Campbell, Allen, Ansah/Arenas I would be one happy panda :)

That really is a pretty bad Vikes mock. We don't need a RB in round 1, we can grab Hardesty in round 2 or 3. Tight end isn't a need.

Descent mock for the 9ers , two WR's really ? I think one would be just fine . We need more help on D fence and O line . Just a thought . take out Tate and give us another O linemen or safety help

Switch that Hughes with Odrick and you have my ideal Jets draft, plus it is very unlikely they would pass on Odrick for Hughes. DE is the Jets biggest need and Odrick is a perfect fit who is starting to get a lot of attention around the league, the Jets might have to trade up if Odrick is their guy and don't be surprised if they do, even for someone else.

Plus..the Jets announced they are giving Gholston a final shot this year and have a lot of money invested in him. Pace is a great player and Bryan Thomas is a good starter to hold the job if Gholston is in fact a bust.

Really not a fan of Dunlap to the Ravens. He's not a base DE in a 4-3 (LDE), and Suggs pretty much has RDE secured. I assume that you believe that Suggs would be an OLB in our 4-3 sets, yet I highly doubt that. He definitely isn't a WLB or a MLB in that scheme, so that leaves SLB. I think he could play spot downs/plays there, yet that's not how we would maximize his value on the field. He's at his best rushing the passer, NOT in coverage (especially for the responsibilities he'd have in a 4-3). You could argue that we could blitz him to get to the passer, but Mattison has shown that is exactly what he doesn't want to do. He wants the four down lineman to get the pressure so we can leave the other seven guys in coverage. If we were a team such as the Eagles, Giants, Saints, or Redskins (how they used Orapko) Suggs could probably get away with in because they have an attacking scheme.

Murphy in the second is alright, not sure if he's quite valued there though.

Dunlap to the Ravens would be interesting, but I just see too much of a bust in him.. (ala Vernon Gholston)

Give us Jared Odrick or Devon McCourty or Patrick Robinson.

In the second, I'd rather have Perrish Cox or Aaron Hernandez.

+rep for the effort though, keep it up.

32) New Orleans Saints – Patrick Robinson, CB Florida State

64) New Orleans Saints – Jermaine Cunningham, DE Florida

95) New Orleans Saints – Jamar Chaney, ILB Mississippi State

So we get a 3rd/4th CB, a DE who might not even start even though we need one, and a backup ILB when we still have holes at OLB/ maybe DT/ DE and possibly S? I dont know whose input you have, but for the Saints it was wrong.

I'm sorry but Carlos Dunlap and Vernon Gholston are NOTHING alike. Gholston is a finnese pass rushing linebacker with no leverage and on the field strength. He was soft coming out and had too many question marks. He is an edge rusher not a "in the trenches" type of guy.

Carlos Dunlap is a your ideal 5 technique defensive end, not a line backer. He's a HUGE, strong, built, dangerously fast defensive end who was a STUD at florida the past three years. Who remembers the Ohio State game? The absolute chaos he put on LSU. He's a guy that is going to be inside alot, not on the edges like Gholston and will be a solid 5 technique in this league if you can get him motivated...

I'm usually not a fan of florida defensive players as they have produced many busts (especially on the d-line) but I like Dunlap.

03-23-2010, 07:14 PM
What, Dunlap as a 5-tech? Naw I don't think so. Perhaps if you were only looking at him from a measurables perspective (even then he's too thin).

Kindle is a solid first rounder for the Phins, but we don't need another WR like Lafell who can't catch or another safety like Wright who can't cover. No thanks.

Jahvid Best is not a good choice for the Vikings. The Vikes are not a 2 back team(aside from 2007) Adrian has been the workhorse and thats the way it is going to be. Chester Taylor was a phenomenal 3rd down back and a very good #2 option yet he struggled to even get 10 touches a game. On top of that Percy Harvin's role out of the back field will more than likely be expanded a bit. So now we are talking about using a 1st rounder on a guy who will touch the ball about 5 times a game, maybe 10 if he is lucky.

Brian Price is a much better choice in round 1, then give them Hardesty or Tate in round 3.

Just my opinion but this is perhaps the most depressing 49ers mck I've seen yet this offseason.

Anthony Davis that high is just awful.

Brian Price would be excellent.

Colt McCoy would be great, but another young QB is not on the menu while Russell is still on the roster.

Berry, Jackson and Fox are all good picks for the browns but the last 2 don't make sense at all. Curran is no where close to being the size to play OLB/DE in a 3-4 and the Browns don't really need a TE. Gibson is a much better fit.

Bad Dallas draft. Ducasse is not a 1st round pick and they won't take a WR in the 2nd round. I like the pick of Smith in the 3rd, but that was about it.

You won't see a WR pick for Dallas unless Bryant or MAYBE even Demaryius Thomas falls in the first 2 rounds. Earlz Thomas in the first and Alualu in the second would be ridiculous. Jerry likes Free too much to be drafting OL in the first. Hamlin is making 5+ mill a year to have no picks and 2 passes defensed. 1 total INT between our safeties. 20th ranked against the pass and 26th in INT's and no forced fumbles. Hell, Kenny Phillips played one game against us and had a better combined stat sheet. Unfortunately Earl probably won't fall to us and we'd have to move up, maybe the 49ers who have 2 - 1st's.
