Goodfellas.
Great script, great actors, and great directing. Not much more you can ask for.
1. Pulp Fiction - Tarentino and Samuel L. What else do you need.
2. Forest Gump - Still watch the whole thing when it comes on.
3. 300 - Maybe still a little hyped from seeing it, but still...Blood and kickass.
Probably either A Beatuiful Mind or Memento.

I think I will toss in the Blade series to my original post of Forrest Gump because I only own 5 movies that I actually purchased and three of them belong to the Blade series (I [VHS] II, III [DVD]. The other two are Forrest Gump (DVD) and Saving Private Ryan (VHS). I am going to get SPR on DVD eventually for all the bonus features and what not, same with Blade. I plan on getting 300 as well just so I can get some scenes onto my iPod. I don't think you should be allowed to have a comedy as your number one unless you have seen in 10+ times and it is still hilarious without the help of any drugs.

Because its a "smart" movie... Understanding smart movies makes people feel as if they are actually smart and that boost their ego.
Although Memento was actually a really good original movie.
Donnie Darko is the worst movie about being smart, as it just says a lot of nothing.
