It's so much easier to assess listed by team. I'm going to work on adding the trades in there now.

Can we comment yet or do you want to keep this thread clean?

FlyingElvis

Comments are fine by me. I figured this way anyone who wanted to see the results could just look at the first post instead of sifting through page by page to see their team's results.

Fire away. Trades still to come, though.

Why the hell would the Colts trade up that high just to get Trent Williams?

I came away very happy with our Phins draft. Filled all our major needs with guys that I think could step in and play right away.

There were a bunch of good drafts overall. These are the ones that stand out as the biggest improvements for the respective team.

Big winnahhhh!

Lions:
7 Detroit from Cleveland (5-11) - Joe Haden, CB/Florida
34 Detroit (2-14) - Bruce Campbell OT/Maryland
71 Detroit - from Cleveland (5-11) - Dominique Franks CB/Oklahoma
85 Detroit - from Cleveland - from Oakland via New England* (10-6) - Riley Cooper WR/Florida
90 Detroit - From Dallas (11-5) - Larry Asante S/Nebraska
126 Detroit - from Cleveland via San Diego (13-3) - George Selvie DE/USF
133 Detroit (2-14) - LeGarrette Blount RB/Oregon
160 Detroit - from Cleveland via New York Jets (9-7) - Chris Scott OG/Tennessee

Trades:
#7, #71, #85, #126, #160 for Andre Fluellen DT + #2 overall
Justin Smiley OL for #100 overall
Tashard Choice RB + #90 from Dallas for #66 overall

The Lions needed help in plenty of places. They made great moves in FA along the Dline and adding Burleson, who I feel is highly underrated. Then this draft nets them 2 RBs that should provide solid production in Choice and Blount. They land the best CB and still manage to grab a freakish LT prospect at 34. More Oline depth and a pair of likely starters in the defensive backfiled withFranks and Assante.

Runner up!! lol

Browns:
2 Cleveland - from Detroit (2-14) - Sam Bradford, QB/Oklahoma
38 Cleveland (5-11) - Kareem Jackson CB/Alabama
92 Cleveland - from New York Jets* (9-7) - Montario Hardesty RB/Tennessee
134 Cleveland - from Tampa Bay (3-13) - Mike Neal DE/Purdue
146 Cleveland - from Detroit via Denver (8-8) - Jeremy Williams WR/Tulane

Trades:
Adalius Thomas OLB for Robert Royal & 5th
Malcom Floyd WR + SD 4th for Shaun Rogers
Bryant McFadden CB for 4th
Andre Fluellen DT + #2 overall from Detriot for #7, #71, #85, #126, #160

The Browns add 3 potential starters in trade and still end up with 8 draft picks. Very impressive maneuvering, especially considering the fact that they come away with the top QB prospect in Bradford. Adding a quality CB and my favorite RB in the draft, too.

YotoJets007
04-01-2010, 02:23 PM
and Browns too. Nice balance in new acquisitions. A mix of veterans and promising rookies.

Chiefs loaded up with more than enough rookies with high upsides. Packers will have one of the strongest defense with this draft.

Jets draft would be perfect had Titans not taken DB Lewis. how disrespect!

Bears- C+

With what I had to work with, and the holes that I had, I would say B at the least. We made their OL 1000 times better, got a starter in Burnett, and Lane learning from Peppers is the sickness.

FlyingElvis

I think you did a good job with very little to work with for Chicago. 3 Olineman to help shore up the line. A good safety for a late pick and some DE depth. If Gholston turns into something even mildly useful in rotation it's a great move. That's a big IF, but worth the picks you traded. As long as we ignore the contract . . . ;)

RaiderNation

I really like what me and PMD did. We finally got a NT in our 4-3, a top 10 prospect IMO falling to 16 and filling our biggest need, a CB to replace the aging Chris Johnson, a thumper at MLB who is also a leader, a starting caliber RT and a OG that can compete in the 5th.... if only this could happen in real life

Thank ya, with the OL I kinda looked toward next year with the Jean Gilles trade, so that way Beekman can slide into Center when Kruetz retires and we keep it all intact.

I'd love Shane and company to give me a team with actual picks and more to work with, I guarentee a A.

Thank ya, with the OL I kinda looked toward next year with the Jean Gilles trade, so that way Beekman can slide into Center when Kruetz retires and we keep it all intact.

Thats a good plan to have a terrible offensive line. Just sayin'

Yeah, not much to work with in this draft, but you definitely want these moves to be a stop gap for this season only.

Jets - B

I'd have loved an A (who wouldn't?) but I think the B is more than fair. Our draft wasn't bad, but I think a couple teams did better and had drafts that really stuck out.

Im OK with the B. For a team that won the division and didnt have a whole lot of huge needs, we did a good job fixing the immediate holes and prepping for the future.
Eric Berry is exactly what our D needs. McCoy is what we need at TE. Te`o gives us a nice pass rusher we needed. Edds is a solid SLB guy who can cover and will be a great upgrade on 3rd downs. Ciron Black offers us that versatility we value in lineman.
Freddie is a personal pick so yeah.

fine with my grade. kind of boring mock for me, but I picked some good players to fill needs.

Spoon- fills in as Mike in our new cover 1-ish type of D
Jones- we need a DT and I think he's going to be a BEAST. his injury problems lowered his stock, but I'm a huge fan of his.
Matt Tennant- reach? maybe. but he's a technician, and will be able to learn from one of the very best in O'Hara. O'hara's a guy who doesn't have the most strength, but is a pro-bowler with his smarts, footwork, positioning and rutgers roots. Tennant, a BC guy, fits the bill perfectly to be the heir apparent of getting felt up by Eli.
Myron Rolle- this was before the Deon Grant signing. A great, smart kid who will fit in great with us. he give nice depth and youth and potential.
Kevin Haslam- he's got the potential to be our next RT. he can take over for McKenzie, or slide in at LG in the future if needed and honestly, like I could pass up picking him?

I really like all your draft picks and thought you got really good value on all of them. Getting Gresham, McCourty, Chaney and Shipley would be a excellent draft. With that being said, I don't really like the Anthony Collins trade. I understand why you did it especially in this OT class but I thought you overpaid for him a bit.

If I had to give you a grade......

A

A Perfect Score

Id absolutely give the Cards an A. Love the Chaney pick, and McCourty was excellent value. Gresham is a steal at 26 as well. Definitely one of the better drafts.

Cards got MCcourty. A+. no doubt about it.

I really like what the Cards did, looking back at it.

They wait patiently and land the best TE in the draft. Then capitalize on the wealth of picks to move up and snag avery good CB prospect who can also split time or fill in for Breaston at a return man.

Decent OLine depth is added and a potential replacement for Dansby. Chaney isn't really close but is good help as a 3rd rounder. Shipley adds a similar fill in for the departed Boldin, again not nearly the polished player compared to the guy he "replaces" but all the needs were met well in this draft.

Cardinals:
26 Arizona* (10-6) - Jermaine Gresham TE/Oklahoma
39 Arizona - from Jacksonville via Oakland (5-11) - Devin McCourty CB/Rutgers
88 Arizona - from Baltimore* (9-7) - Jamar Chaney LB/Mississippi State
105 Arizona - From Cleveland (5-11) - Jordan Shipley WR/Texas

Trades:
Arizona 4th for Bryant McFadden
#39 overall from Jax for #58 + #123
Anthony Collins OT for #89 overall

I really like what me and PMD did. We finally got a NT in our 4-3, a top 10 prospect IMO falling to 16 and filling our biggest need, a CB to replace the aging Chris Johnson, a thumper at MLB who is also a leader, a starting caliber RT and a OG that can compete in the 5th.... if only this could happen in real life

I really like the Raiders draft as well. Davis, Price, Robinson, and Spikes are a few of my favorite prospects in this draft. The only thing I disagree with is you saying Price is a NT. I think his best fit is at 4-3 UT, playing him at nose would be wasting his talent.

The B for the Rams is reasonable Fenikz. I think I got them to a point where they can compete, be around a .500 team at least.

fenikz
04-03-2010, 04:53 PM
i think they still have far too many holes to compete

McNabb's succeeded with less at receiver, Jackson is going to be Jackson, the o-line really isn't that terrible once everyone gets healthy. Suh makes the rest of the defense a little better.

I think .500 is doable.
