View Full Version : Deepest & Best Position in this Draft?

Which position is the deepest and best of the draft

I think there are plenty of decent to good RB's, but there's no greatness here. No Adrian Peterson, LaDanian Tomlinson, Barry Sanders types.

I'd love to see a poll result, but "deepest" and "best" is different so...

There's an absolute ridiculous amount of quality defensive tackles.

04-07-2010, 10:20 PM
defensive tackle by far, IMO.

04-07-2010, 10:22 PM
has to be safety than DE.

04-07-2010, 10:27 PM
I'd say DT then OT. Alot of them will go early on.

04-07-2010, 10:34 PM
Yeah I don't think it's close.

Ndamukong Suh

We've known the 2010 DT class was going to be sick for years now.

We've known the 2010 DT class was going to be sick for years now.

thats very true, except i thought Vince Oghobasse was going to be a first round talent. WTF happened!!

I'd have to say DT/S

Deepest and Best Position? Definitely missionary.

I am going to go with TE. There is no real true elite players at this postion, but are a lot of guys that will be soild in the NFL

Deepest: Safety, DT, WR - In that order.
Best: DT.

Defensive Tackle is the best & the deepest. It's a pretty good Offensive Guard class too if you include Ducasse, Jerry, Saffold, etc. I like the overall depth of the Cornerback class.

04-07-2010, 11:28 PM
DT is the clear answer, but TE is second.

This is not a good class for interior offensive line or runningback.

Deepest and Best Position? Definitely missionary.

Yeah right

04-07-2010, 11:53 PM
Deepest and Best Position? Definitely missionary.

I'll admit I lol'd.

Deepest and Best Position? Definitely missionary.

thats exactly what i was thinking, teebow must be familiar with it. I mean the religious missionary path of course

A Perfect Score

Clearly DT is both the deepest and best, but outside that, there is a HUGE amount of talent at the WR position this year. Maybe not top end talent (thats all in next years class), but right now Ive got about 9 guys rated in the top 2 rounds. Thats insane.

APS, I came into this thread to see if anyone else thought the WR class was deep. I agree with you.

04-08-2010, 07:57 AM
Defensive tackle obviously. I think there are a good 6-8 players that can be valuable players to their franchise at the next level.

Then I would say defensive back, depending on what position Berry and Earl Thomas ultimately play.

04-08-2010, 07:58 AM
Defensive tackle followed by receiver. I remember some scout (I think it was) predicting that as many as 10 receivers could be selected in the second round this year.

04-08-2010, 08:11 AM
definitely DT. After that probably S and TE. WR is deep, but there's only 1 or 2 who will go in round one. 3-4 OLB and 3-4 DE are deep as well.

Corner back...there's at least 10 guys I'd give at least 2nd-3rd round grades to...Haden, Wilson, Jackson, Spievey, Cook, Franks, Cox, Robinson, McCourty, Ghee, Murphy, Owosu-Ansah, and maybe Warren...

DT works too...Scott's got one of my favorite players in this draft (Oghobaase) as the next to last DT in his rankings...ignoring that Oghobaase is better than that it goes to show the depth of the position.

gotta go with DT

DT is an obvious answer, but OT is pretty deep too.

Safety is good, pretty top heavy just not too deep

corner is the opposite, i think theres also a ton of corners that are 2nd-4th round types, not really big time studs, i dont even think haden is a star corner and benefits big time from such a weak class but for being a weak class theres a ton of solid guys throughout all the rounds

It's clear that DT is the deepest.
How good is Suh?

Think about this: Albert Haynesworth.
He's been the best DT in the NFL the past 5 years, and was rewarded big $$$ for it last year.

How important are DT's when the Redskins couldn't even give him away for McNabb, instead choosing an extra draft pick? And this is a proven dominant DT. Of course it's a big position to stopping the run, I just find it peculiar that the best DT in the NFL has that little value, because his contract is so high. Just remember what the top 5-picks get in money and guaranteed $, and they aren't sure things like big Albert.

RB, OT, DT, and CB are all deep in my opinion.
