This is correct. Locker is the obvious choice for next year's top prospect, but as a college player? He's been mediocre. Then again, we're on a NFL draft forum, so that often factors in to how many people look at college players.

Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't Andrew Luck play on a team that didn't really require him to throw the ball, especially since they had this guy called Toby Gerhart who was kind of good?

Luck played behind a vastly superior line, as evidenced by the only 6 sacks. So, obviously he doesn't really have to worry about getting hit a half second after the snap. Also, look at their respective RB's.

Toby Gerhart: 343 carries, 1871 yds, 27 TD, 11 rec, 151 yds, 0 TD
Chris Polk: 226 carries, 1113 yds, 5 TD, 25 rec, 171 yds, 0 TD

Also, Locker ran for 7 TD's this last year, while Luck ran for 2.

I like Luck, he'll probably have a little tougher time this year when defenses drop their safety (he faced mostly 8 guys in the box) but he is a top level QB. Wouldnt surprise me if he stays another year beyond this fall.

Locker just brings more upsided to the table, his growth going through his progressions has been phenominal under Steve Sarkisian and QB coach Doug Nussmeier. At 6-3 230 lbs with 4.5 speed with a cannon for an arm he probably brings a similar package to the pros that John Elway did in 81.
