2009 Stats: 240 attempts, 1694 yards, 18 touchdowns / 17 receptions, 212 yards, 1 touchdown
Did not fumble one time his entire career (337 touches)

He ran the 40-yard dash in 4.37 seconds, which if not adjusted due to surface would have tied him for second among tailbacks at the Scouting Combine.

His vertical leap of 43 inches would have been first among all tailbacks, his broad jump of ten feet, three inches would have placed third, his 20-yard shuttle time of 4.05 seconds would have topped all tailbacks, his 6.67-second mark in the three-cone drill also would have been first, and his 19 reps in the 225-pound bench press would have been sixth among all tailbacks.

Why are we not talking about this guy?

Why are we not talking about this guy?
Because he went to Southern Illinois. We'd much rather talk about a guy who played at Clemson.

Seriously, he's a beast, and will be a beast in the NFL. Someone will get a huge steal in the 6th round.

Try finding some, it's not exactly easy to find highlight tape of a kid from Southern Illinois.

I agree. If you'd like the answer to your OP's question, reread your quote above.

Don't forget LaRod Really-Long-Name.
That would be an epic RB corp.

Especially considering Deji Karim's full name is:

Abdul-Gafar Olatokumbo Ayodeji Lamar Karim Ayodeji

I know the guy's name is Stephens-Howling. I loved him as a prospect back in the time, I was just joking about his name.

Definitely one of the more mysterious players in the draft...

I can't find a scouting report on the guy to save my life...he seems like a poor man's DeAngelo Williams, but I couldn't tell anyone anything.

Homeless man's DeAngelo Williams

There's a youtube clip in the messages from the profootball talk link.

Speed wise, he looks like he's playing against pop warner rejects. Okay runner, don't see any elite run skills.

Love his 40 time, someone will give him a full TC to see if he can play specials and work his way up the RB depth chart.

I googled him and the second link was a scouting report from bleacherreport.com. I don't believe we can post other material or links here. But a google will get you there.

Is that not the same school Michael Turner went to? The Esgles had him in for a visit.

Why aren't we talking about him?

Because there's almost no video out there of him.

All we have are measurables from a pro-day... If he put on a show like that at the combine, where everyone would see it, and on the same field as other prospects, we would definitely be talking about it more.

Michael Turner went to Northern Illinois. Brandon Jacobs went to Southern Illinois. Nickname was Karim the Dream.

Well, as for ^, he's nothing like them...they each out weigh him by 30 and 50 lbs respectivly i think. But he could be a good MJD/Sproles/Ray Rice type Back IMO. I haven't really seen him play though.

The chargers have actually brought him in for a visit as well.

He doesn't really play up to that athleticism IMO, at least from what I saw of him. He also doesn't sound particularly smart, but that doesn't really matter at RB anyway. Could be alright.

ive been a fan of dejis for a month or two now. im glad he ran as well as i expected. i had him to the packers in the 6th round but he might go earlier now. id be happy if the skins took him in the 5th. hes got legit gamebreaker speed.

Nah, Turner went to NIU. Same school as Garrett Wolfe, Doug Free, Sam Hurd, Larry English, Ryan Diem, etc... As my hometown school, I follow them pretty closely and the've put out solid NFL talent.

I personally love Karim as a prospect (he's my 10th ranked back in this class). He's stout at 210 despite being only 5'9 and hits the hole with authority. He's small, which helps him get low and he can run with power as well as real good speed. Also an accomplished pass-catcher.

If you can share this footage, please do, because I haven't seen anything on this guy but stats and numbers. Also, he goes to the same school as Brandon Jacobs, not Turner.

For some help on the video ^ This is the times he touches the ball.

0:50 run up middle
1:51 kickoff return
2:14 run up middle
3:06 screen pass

That play on the screen is very, very impressive.

from looking at his scouting report he went to JUCO then redshirted between his junior and senior year. Does anyone know why?
