One of my favorite players back when he was on the Falcons. Always seemed like a quality guy from everything I've heard, played the game with tenacity and heart. Good career for him, all the best in future endeavors as always.

This mean Seattle's need for a DE is now on par with another RB or S??

I always liked the guy. Had a solid career, was a team leader, hard worker, didn't have the freakish talent like a lot of prospects coming out today (Dunlap, Griffen, etc.), but made up for it with his determination and heart.

Guy was a beast with the Falcons, and I think still had a good year or two in Seattle.

Solid Pro

would this propel a decision to go to 3-4 without a great DE? Actually idk, Lawrence Jackson doesn't really fit a 3-4 at all.

Most of the Seahawk players don't fit an NFL football team so I think they are free to do whatever they please scheme-wise.

Maybe later in his career, but check out Kerney's numbers when he came out of UVA. He was definitely an 'athlete' playing DE, not just a lunch pail, try-hard guy.

It was already a huge need. It would have been extremely unrealistic to expect much out of him this year.

Good solid numbers, but nothing eye popping. Mario Williams is a freak in his own league, so I will leave him out of this discussion-but I always viewed Kerney as someone who brought production with solid measurables. Derrick Morgan really reminds me a lot of Kerney, and I think will have a solid career.

Good player, he always killed the Cardinals. Been coming for a while so I don't think it has any effect on their draft plans.
