1 oak j russell qb fits the franchise. Risky - won't look good
in 5 years
2 Det B quinn qb the rest of the offence is well structured. This car
needs a driver.
3 Minn C johnson wr No team needs impact wr like min. TJ needs a goto
guy. (clev gets rd 2 in '07 rd 3 in '08)
4 Buff A Peterson rb Losman made strides in '06 and needs a running
game to thrive. 'can't let Houston take AD at 8.
(TB gets rd 2 '07 and conditional '08)
5 Ariz J thomas ot 3-4 craziness lands them their biggest need.
6 wash a branch dt someone to keep those lb's clean and productive
7 clev j anderson de romeo= defense. the 3-4 starts upfront anderson
is a seymour clone. this deal goes down as soon
as both qb's are off the board.
8 hous g adams de thought they had a shot at either peterson or
quinn. adams is the pass rusher to complement
williams all-around game.
9 mia l brown ot when you lose that many o-lineman, you can't
replace them all with late rounders and FA's. the
franchise qb comes next year.
10 atl l landry s would do back flips for either he or adams.
11 sf a carriker de not a sexy pick. nolan knows a big well rounded
end makes lawson and harylson that much better
12 tb a okoye dt chucky po'd by the vikings move but gets the
player his team actually needed the most plus
the extra pick in rd 2
13 stl p willis lb biggest needs are along both lines. all the shifting
leaves them reaching to fill a need.
14 car g olsen te thinking safety as well but someone needs to take
advantage of s smith being double teamed and it
won't be keyshawn.
15 pitt p posluszny lb old group that historically leads this team needs
help. linebacker U and Steelers screams match.
16 Gb M lynch hb actually would have taken olsen if available.
17 jack r nelson fs one of the better fits in round 1.
18 Cinn d revis cb toss up with hall. cinn likes to press and revis is
the bigger guy.
19 tenn d jarrett wr had them attempting to get up in the peterson
sweepstakes to tandem w/ l white but too many
needs to surrender all the needed picks.
20 nyg l hall cb coughlin hoping for a ty law clone.
21 den J moss de potential wins out over needs at safety.

22 dal t ginn wr a raw but unquestionable talent. who better to
learn the ropes from than t glenn ? long slide
halted. if not him, merriweather ?
23 kc d bowe wr big pass catcher will make his biggest contrib.
with his downfield blocking for lj
24 hou m griffin s struggled so much with adams/landry choice
they fill both needs by sending ne #'s 39,73
25 nyj c houston cb other needs (dl and ol) are best filled later

26 phil b merriweather s future replacement for b dawkins
27 no a ross cb no team missed the weak link fred walker
showed himself to be.
28 ne b leonard rb perfect complement to maroney. will seek
safety / lb's with 2nd and 3rd rounders
29 balt blaylock g best of what's left on line. May look at cb
30 sd j meacham wr time to give rivers a true wr talent,
31 chi l timmons lb a potential to briggs holding out
32 ind j beason lb perfect fit for tony dungy 's d

Bad value and we didn't lose much in FA on the OL. We got rid of a bunch of bad players that were over payed and an average at best LT.

You think if you are going to amke a mock you could at least make full sentences? This was incredibly difficult to read and understand. As for the Eagles pick, it is bad. We do need help at S, but not at FS. We have Dawkins and his eventual replacement in Considine. Meriweather is a FS and we need help at SS. But since none of the major safeties we need are left, we would go LB with Beason or Timmons.

The igles system employs both safeties in a 2 deep zone. Merriweather is a hitter and physical enough to support on the run , but his speed and coverage skills will help you against the shockey, cooley, witten te crew you face six times. The igles do not draft lb's in the 1st round and timmons has no track record to change that now. If poz or willis slip maybe, but i think safety here.

Any mock involving trades should have Detroit moving off of #2. It's the most likely of any trade to happen.

Detroit will not take Quinn.

make the mock easier to read. Bold the team names and put some space between the pick and the team name. That a good raven pick
