I tried this once before but the timing was off and decided to wait to when people have more time so here it is again.

I'm looking for six to eight active posters to participate is a different form of football draft. Instead of choosing players we will be choosing draft classes.

1 1950 - 1959 draft class
1 1960 - 1969 draft class
1 1970 - 1979 draft class
1 1980 - 1989 draft class
1 1990 - 1999 draft class
1 2000 - 2010 draft class
1 Wildcard draft class

1 - Top 10 pick
1 - Other first round pick
1 - 2nd
1 - 3rd
1 - 4th
1 - 5th
1 - 6th
1 - 7th or later

There will then be a tournament with game plans and the like, most likely and winner gets multi rep by me. I will only participate if we need another.

The draft has started.

Wait.. I don't understand.

Each person will be picking a year or more specifically 7 years (IE 2010)

When the draft is over you will construct a team with 8 players from each of your draft classes to create a 53 man roster (you will be cutting 3 players.)

of course there are questions of pre combination of the leagues (AFL and NFL) and when players go back into the draft (IE Bo Jackson) and I havn't made a final decision on those yet.

This sounds really hard.

Its really not.

You go here
http://www.nfl.com/draft/history/fulldraft
or
here
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1953_NFL_Draft you can choose the draft class at the bottom. Then try to build a team. Most of the earlier draft classes have a ton of HOFers/pro bowlers in it.

So if I pick Jamarcus Russell would he count as my Top 10 Pick AND 2000 - 2010 draft class? Or just one of my choice?

Brothgar

So if I pick Jamarcus Russell would he count as my Top 10 Pick AND 2000 - 2010 draft class? Or just one of my choice?

You don't pick Jamarcus Russell you choose the 2007 draft class then when the draft is over and you say hey from my 2007 draft class I would like JaMarcus Russell to be my top 10 pick from that class.

So the pick is going to go like this

With the first pick I choose the 2007 draft class

then after you choose all 7 of your draft classes you build your team in which you place JaMarcus as your top 10 pick from that class. Did I explain that properly?

Yeah I want a full team.

Gay Ork Wang
05-09-2010, 05:47 PM
1 - Top 10 pick
1 - Other first round pick
1 - 2nd
1 - 3rd
1 - 4th
1 - 5th
1 - 6th
1 - 7th or later

that doesnt equal a full team

1 - 3rd

No no no. You choose 7 draft classes (or draft years if you will)

1 1950 - 1959 draft class
1 1960 - 1969 draft class
1 1970 - 1979 draft class
1 1980 - 1989 draft class
1 1990 - 1999 draft class
1 2000 - 2010 draft class
1 Wildcard draft class

in each of your drafted years you choose

1 - Top 10 pick
1 - Other first round pick
1 - 2nd
1 - 3rd
1 - 4th
1 - 5th
1 - 6th
1 - 7th or later

thus it will be 8 players x 7 draft classes = 56 players - 3 cut players = a 53 man roster.

Quick Question.. Do undrafteds go under 7th or later?

Undrafteds are under the 7th round or later part. Players taken in the supplemental draft still goes to the year that he was drafted not the year that the pick comes from but will still cost you a 3rd round pick. As for pre combination drafts I'm still unsure what to do with those I think I will allow the choosing from either draft. The 1984 Supplemental draft (drafting of USFL and CFL players) are all available in the 1984 draft at the slots they were selected in

I'm going to PM everyone with the option most votes wins with the two options being add 1 pre 1940's class or leave it as 7 draft classes.

I was thinking about that but The Minister has DT experience I think I'm going to have to run a 5-2 in stead of a 4-3 because putting a HOFer on the bench isn't right although I will still have a HOF DE on the bench anyway.

I know. That is what I originally had, but found myself with a large gap at safety, so I switched Ware to Mankins to take a guard spot and Shields to Lynch, so my guard spot isn't quite what it was, but the safety spot improved ten-fold.

Trust me, I know Will Shields was better than John Lynch.

Man something has been killing me for years. I remember a couple years back (when you were still Renji) I made fun of you saying 5'12" as someone's height not knowing that you were from Germany and weren't used to the US ways of measurement.

Man something has been killing me for years. I remember a couple years back (when you were still Renji) I made fun of you saying 5'12" as someone's height not knowing that you were from Germany and weren't used to the US ways of measurement.

I just want to apologize because every time I see a post of yours I think about it and I feel like a dick. So sorry man. I know its weird but it just bothers me every time.
haha i still have no idea how high 5'11'' is. WHY WONT U TAKE THE METRIC SYSTEM

156.2 cm = 5'11"

5'11'' = 180 cm. 156 is tiny.

Freebird cant play Gale Sayers and Dick Butkus. they were picked back to back by the Bears they have on their #2 and #3. even though the AFL draft was different, i assume we use the NFL Draft or the highest round they were picked. If we chose the highest round they were picked, he is only allowed to pick either Butkus Sayers or Namath
