This is an absolutely horrible situation for the Eagles. Every single guy in our top 5 on our big board is gone. But hey, sometimes that is just the way the draft works. None of those guys (Willis, Griffin, Poz, Timmons, Beason) that we could target would be extreme reaches. All of those guys could be gone by the time we pick. Although we do need a Safety and Meriweather is a good Safety, he will now be picked by the Eagles. His character concerns will make it nearly impossible for him to be our pick. That and his size. HYe is more suited to be a FS in the NFL, but we need a SS. We have Dawkins at SS and Considine is his replacement. IN this situation, we would probably go with a DE or maybe even the MLB Harris, but I don't think Harris is a likely pick for the Eagles in any situation, so who knows what they would do in this situation. I would say they would trade down, but is pointless to say that, because it is difficult to find a trading partner, and it is impossible to predict it at this time.
