The large number of talented RFAs that are currently on 1 year deals will have a huge impact on the draft next year.

Is there a list anywhere of all the RFAs on their 1 year tender offer? (or unsigned)

Can you elaborate on how you think they will affect the draft? Not knocking the thread idea or anything but I don't understand where you are going with it yet.

I think what he means is that, because of the change in the CBA that required a player to have 6 seasons of experience before they can be unrestricted free agents, there will be a ton of guys playing on one year deals this season.

I don't have a complete list, but some of the headliners include: Miles Austin, Marcus Spears, Rocky McIntosh, Nick Collins, Jason Spitz, Ray Edwards, Tavaris Jackson, Thomas Davis, Matt Moore, Jahri Evans, Pierre Thomas, Barrett Rudd, Steve Breaston, Ronnie Brown, Logan Mankins, Stephen Gostkowski, Braylon Edwards, Jared Gaither, D,Qwell Jackson, Jerome Harrison, DeMeco Ryans, Owen Daniels, Elvis Dumervil, Kyle Orton, Derrick Johnson, Vincent Jackson, Marcus McNeil, and Shawne Merriman.

That certainly is a very good list of players that will be free agents next year. However, I don't know how it will affect the draft as compared to other seasons. If you want a full list, you can go to walterfootball.com and check out the individual team season previews and it will say all the the players who were signed to tenders.

That is it exactly, the extra players on one year deals will have a flow on effect on free agency which will impact the draft.

Teams will be able to fill needs through free agency. Also some teams who think they have depth could change.

This is in addition to the normal run of players who come off contract every year.

The 30% rule means that players who normally would be extended are unable to get reasonable extensions

for example, look at next year's WR free agents

Vincent Jackson
Steve Smith
Miles Austin
Braylon Edwards
Santonio Holmes
Sidney Rice

these are the kind of top tier guys that teams normally lock up early

then there are good 2nd tier guys with ability
Domenik Hixon
John Lee Higgins
Limas Sweed
Dwayne Jarrett
Jason Hill

the bottom line is that there are plenty of options to address needs, also if a team unexpectedly loses a player they expected to resign, it will create an urgent need.

How it all winds up will have a bigger than usual impact on the draft.

You look at the guy's that most likely wont resign. The Jets should trade Edwards for a Third.

.

Now take those free agents and add them to this years receiving class of AJ Green, Julio Jones, Baldwin and etc. It will be a good time to be in the market for a WR.

why? (10 char)

Because if you're Mr. Average Joe, nobody will look at you for a long time.

With the talent of WR's available, both in FA and the draft, average WR will have to wait a long time for all of them to find a home before they do. If a team needs a WR, they'll hope to land Steve Smith, Miles Austin, Braylon Edwards, Santonio Holmes, Sidney Rice or any of the talented rookies before a Limas Sweed, or a Domenik Hixon or a John Lee Higgins, obviously. But given the quantity of talented players available, and the fact that the deals they get will dictate the rest of the market for WR's, it's going to be a great year for teams wanting WR, but not good for FA WR's.

With all the roster turnover, team needs will not be able to be determined for a while.

With all the roster turnover, team needs will not be able to be determined for a while.

I would expect a lot of roster turnover

the 30% rule and the lack of cba including an uncapped year means a lot of teams haven't been able (or willing) to do their long term planning and signing of their players.

There will be a lot of talent available and a frankly a lot of needs for almost every team. Many teams will have a lot of money to spend.

Free Agency will be chaotic, and will have a huge impact in the draft, particularly at some positions.
