"And we have Adam Schefter here to take you around the league..."
http://images.nfl.com/images/author/8830.jpg

"Well Rich apparently the Eagles are looking to grab Mike Doss, Andy Reid was quoted as saying,'Doss could step in and instantly replace departed SS Mike Lewis and over current starter Sean Considine.Has the physical presence that Mike Lewis had but is a bit beter in coverage which is what the Eagles need. Since Doss is from the championship Colts,we feel he would like to go to another super bowl calibur team.Doss would get to work alongside Brian Dawkins, one of the most feared safeties and also with defensive mastermind Jim Johnson. We'd offer a 2-3 year deal.'
The Bills are also trying to sign William Henderson and Kawika Mitchell. Henderson was the last person other than Favre to still be on the roster who was there during Green Bay's last super bowl win."

"Yes, its being reported that Randy Moss will infact be going to Green Bay, for Corey Williams, a 3rd and 5th rounder. I'll now pass it to John Clayton and Sean Salisbury."

Oakland Raiders Head Coach Lane Kiffin's reaction to today's deal:

"Randy was obviously a player that didn't want to be here and we didn't want to have a player on this team that we feel was going to bring down what we're trying to get accomplished. In return we got a defensive tackle in Corey Williams who can play big minutes for us. We also added a 3rd and 5th round draft, which will help us add youth and depth at the same time. We will continue to try and developa team that Raiders' fan will be proud to follow onec again."

Kevin Barry and Marquand Manuel have both been placed on the block. Barry, an OT who played TE in the U-71 package is a fierce blocker who went out with an injury last year. Marqund Manuel is Green Bay's favorite whipping boy. Despite this he is a good run stopper, but still needs work with coverage. Green Bay is looking for a 5th-7th round pick for each or a TE.

NFL Network sources have revealed that the Atlanta Falcons may not only be shopping around coveted QB- Matt Schuab but also QB- Mike Vick. Word is that there is a possibility niether will be in a Falcons uniform next year, Though highly unlikley both will be traded. The Falcons have reportedly been in discussion with the Lions, Texans and Raiders. Falcons GM had this to say, "Right now its more of a feeling out process, a deal could be made at any point although talks are still very minimal at this point".

Insider information has it that the Falcons will be very welcome to trades leading up to and including this years draft.

Kubiak and Smith Giving Carr One Last Chance
Richard Justice of the Houston Chronicle is reporting that Houston is giving David Carr one last chance.
"Carr has been great with blocking and that appears to be the problem," said Rick Smith, GM of the Texans.
"Also I will try to bring in a #2 WR."
"Recently we have been getting offers from a few teams wanting Carr, but both were rejected. While we may bring a QB to compete with Carr, we will not let him go, unless we see something in camp telling us to."
"That is highly unlikely," said Kubiak, "Carr has proved to me that he can lead this, the players respect Carr and he and [Andre] Johnson make a good team."
As of now, Carr seems to be off the block, but Houston's GM Rick Smith has acknowledged he wants to move up in the draft. Also the teams giving the Texans offers were not disclosed

Pittsburgh has brought in Shantee Orr, Kawika Mitchell and Kevan Barlow. Mitchell seemed unintresed, but Orr and Barlow seemed to want to go. Barlow should be a great addition to a RB core lacking a power runner. Davenport has had too many injuries to be a suffiecnt #2 it seems. Plus depth is lacking here.
Houston has talked with Drew Bleadsoe, Shaun Williams and Antonio Bryant. Bryant doesnt see Houston giving him #1 WR type money and may decline. Bleadsoe and Williams seem ready to pack their bags.
Green Bay is looking to bring back William Henderson and they are trying to sign Dan Klceko. Henderson looks forward to returning to Green Bay despite an offer from Buffalo.

Excert on Lee Remmel's report on Green Bay Trade Talks:
Apparently Green Bay is talking with Tennessee about Pac-Man Jones. First we bring in Koren Robinson, then Randy Moss, whos next OJ... this is clearly an outrage, but there is a chance he could change his ways. I watched his college highlights... amazing and apparently we're only offering a 7th rounder. This could be the sign of changing times in Green Bay.

San Francisco Choronicle - Joe Johnson, AP

Mike Nolan, the head coach of the San Francisco 49ers, has shared his expectations of this upcoming season along with a hint of his next free agent signing. He seemed really optimistic while both of us watched a short clip of last seasons highlights. He expects to go far with the team and shared with me the goal of the team: "Win the West". Coming close last year only to be beaten by division rival Arizona Cardinals. As the interview came to a close he revealed what maybe his last free agent signing with the words: "I hear Hamlin wants to stay in the West..", as he closed the door to his Santa Clara home. His words never hit me until I made the commute home once I realized, as far as cap room, the 49ers are sitting pretty. The question is: "Does Hamlin want to stay in the West?".

Terrell Davis here to break down some of the Major trades this offseason...

First Moss to Green Bay for a 3rd, 5th and DT Corey Williams to Oakland.
Breakdown: Oakland seems to have had a slight victory here. Moss will give Green Bay a deep threat and he should have a few good years, but Oakland got the best in terms of longevity. Corey Williams is a rising star and two potential starters with the 3rd and 5th picks.

http://www.nbcsports.com/2006/0924/104253_225X300.jpg

Kansas City gets a 1st and Kevin Barry, Green Bay gets KC's first and second.
Breakdown: Green Bay may have won this one. Barry has potential as a starter but now Green Bay is in position to fill more needs.

http://images.packers.com/images/action/030727soup5_a.jpg

Houston gets 1st overall pick, Oakland gets 1st and 2nd from Houston and Domanick Williams.

Breakdown: Could be a tie. Oakland gets 3 potential starters, but Houston will be getting CJ who should only make the Texans recieving core the best in the league in 2-3 years. Also Williams could be a bust due to injuriers.
http://images.nfl.com/photos/img7686738.jpg

Pacman Jones to New Orleans, a 3rd and 6th to Tennessee.
Breakdown: Tennessee won big time(or possibly?). While Pacman has great upside, whether or not he'll even play again is a question.

This has been Terrell Davis now stick around for more Super Bowl highlights!

The Saints are very happy to announce that we have aquired Rod Coleman in a deal with the Falcons. We feel that with the additions of players like Pacman Jones, Rod and Eric Johnson we have adressed our biggest areas of need. We feel that we are ready to make a serious Super Bowl run and we are just waiting on one player that we can depend on. Kawika Mitchell is very close to signing a deal now that the Saints have upped their offer, once that happens the offseason will be ideal in New Orleans.

Adam Schefter of the NFL Network is reporting that the biggest trade this offseason has just taken place between the New Orleans Saints and Atlanta Falcons. The Saints intially contacted the Falcons inquiring about DT- Rod Coleman, from there negotiations went wild. The deal involves a whopping 7 draft picks and 3 players.

Falcons Trade
DT- Rod Coleman
3rd, 75 overall
5rd, 139 overall
6rd, 170 overall

Saints Trade
DT- Hollis Thomas
S- Roman Harper
2rd, 58 overall
4rd, 119 overall
4rd, 121 overall
4rd, 122 overall

Coleman will solidify that D-line and create a force up the middle, hes just the type of impact player the saints were looking for.
http://graphics.fansonly.com/photos/schools/c-usa/sports/m-footbl/auto_action/622392.jpeg

Thomas will fill in for Coleman. DT is now the Falcons weakest position and word is they may be looking DT round 1 of the draft.
http://www.philadelphiaeagles.com/uploads/photos/perm/main/HKGDPLDIAHLM/hthomas_inside_051129.jpg

Harper is a great football player, he will replace Crocker and team with Miloy to create one heck of a secondary. He was an impact rookie last season before sufering a season ending injury. He will be a Falcon for a long time.

John Clayton has been in contact with Keenan McCardells agent who reports that Keenan has been in heated discussions with the Minnesota Vikings. The Vikings, who could use a veteran WR and where Keenen would get a shot to start are a perfect location for Keenan, a deal seems close at hand.

ESPN also reports that Mike Gandy is currently visiting the Minnesota Vikings. The Vikings have only one official offensive tackle on their roster, Gandy is being promised a starting spot and would be working along side some of the best offensive lineman in the game with McKinnie, Hutchinson, and Birk manning the left side of the line. Gandy reportedly is extremely interested.

In a statement released by the team today they stated. "We are elated to have Kawika Mitchell joining our team. Scott Shanle and Scott Fujita are very solid on the outside and now we have a stud MLB to anchor our defense he has had over 100 tackles the last two seasons and that will be a welcome change over the play of former Saint Mark Simoneau." John Clayton is reporting from Minnesota that the Vikings and the Titans have reached an agreement in which Darren Sharper will be moved to Tennessee in return for a 4th (#111) and a 5th (#142) round draft selections. Says Childress; "We are sad to see Sharper go, he was an influential player in his short time here in Minnesota, but we are making an attempt to get younger and unfortunately that meant parting ways with Darren."

Reports are that Minnesota is actively shopping their early 2nd day picks (picks #103, 111, 132, 136, 142) in order to move up in the draft. Any team that is interested feel free to contact Minnesota in regards to these picks.
