Look for the picks directly before him and after him to be the next most likely.....agents and teams love to have a floor and/or ceiling in place before they begin discussions.

I'm not going to lie I really thought he was going to be one of the harder signings never would have guessed he would have been the first.

Who would have thought Dez would be the first to sign? I remember people saying he was going to pull a Crabtree.

I wouldn't have bet on him being the first to sign, who is his agent?

His situation was similiar to Crabtree so I can see how some thought it would, top 10 talent who slipped and Eugene Parker. I think a few things working in his favor though was like you said he's a Texas boy, wanted to play here, and he saw from OTA's that they intended on utilizing him quite a bit in 3 WR sets so missing time would probably prevent that.

Seeing as how things get started for us sooner then everyone, I'm sure both were pushing hard to get that finished asap.

Only long term holdout sounds like it 'could' be Ryan Mathews from how he's sounded lately.

He would have seen that Crabtree holdout didn't work.

Exactly. Why try a Crabtree when that failed so completely?

I'm anxious to see how he does this season. Might have a dynamite rookie season.

I wouldnt be in the least bit shocked if he is a starter at the end of this season. I mean, really, how hard could it be to beat out Roy Williams.

Bryant's situation being similar with Crabtree ended when he lied to the NCAA.
