Had no clue that she had cancer. Bill Cowher's retirement makes a whole lot of sense now. I'd say he comes back after this season now that his family enjoyed the last few years with their mother.

May she rest in peace.

I think this is the reason why he hasn't come back yet. Steeler Nation is very sad to hear this news.

As a cancer survivor, it's always terrible to hear of someone who lost their fight. My thoughts and prayers go out to the Cowher family.

And while it's terrible that she passed, I'm glad Cowher got to spend a few years with his focus on only her instead of her and an entire NFL organization. He's a good coach though, and I hope he comes back eventually.

RIP.

It's really sad, this type of cancer is on the rise, especially in women, and these young girls are only going to extrapolate it with all of these tanning beds they constantly visit.

Not sure extrapolate is the right word in that context.

Anyway, RIP. I don't blame him for keeping this quiet. I do wonder how soon after finding out he decided to retire.

RIP. I didn't even know she had cancer. Now Cowher's retirement makes much more sense.

I was just looking for a way to use that word in a sentence. It'll come in time.
