Undrafted free agent WR Danario Alexander tweeted that he posted a 4.4 forty and 41.5-inch vertical at Wednesday's open Pro Day.
He's healthy. Alexander's 4.4 forty would be impressive on any surface at his size (6'4/218), so even if scouts tack an extra tenth of a second or two onto the time it will help drum up some interest. Alexander is probably ticketed for a practice squad in year one, but he's a worthwhile project

Rams, Bears and Saints are the three teams that are interested. Has a visit with the Rams next monday.

I'm not worried about his straight-line speed, it's his quickness & agility (or lack of) that makes me think it'll be hard for him to gain separation in the NFL. Those knees are scary. He has plenty of talent but is too much of a gamble for a contract/roster spot at this point. Impressive number nevertheless, better than I'd have expected.

Quickness tested out as well with a 4.12 short shuttle...

I want him in Chicago SOOO bad. <3

I wish we could find out his ten yard split. Alexander isn't a guy who explodes off the line, but a good time would indicate that he's got the potential to show some improvement, assuming he stays 100% healthy.

I don't disagree, but let it be known that that's one hell of an assumption.

I agree that Danario's issues involve injuries and his lack of quickness/burst to create separation. You'd hope that he could improve on that, but if he does stay healthy I think he will be more of a possession receiver who can stretch the field with his long strides and surprising speed for a big guy.

We'll see how he looks in camp since I imagine he will get an invite, hopefully he stays healthy.

The Bears really need to get this guy into TC and see what he can do in preseason.

Bill Devaney has said if he checks out physically, Rams will sign him.

...Well, not if Chicago signs him first!

Hey so I dont want to go search to remember who Alexander reminded people of as a prospect so Ill ask it here. Who and why? I say maybe Marques Colstan.

Someone has to give this kid a chance. He has too much talent. I would not be surprised at all if he makes a roster
