How high do you think this guy can go? Mid first? Late first? Top 15?

For me Carter is the best coverage linebacker in this draft and with maturation to his game with technique he could be one of the best from this draft.

Tremendous athlete, good instincts and coverage abilities. Needs to bulk up, he doesn't play nasty/physical enough. I wouldn't spend a first rounder on him at this point, early-mid 2nd round grade from me right now.

Those were highlights? And he's suppose to be a first round guy? Good lord. Nothing like the hype machine I suppose.

I wasn't impressed by those videos. It seemed like he missed a few tackles.

/lowlights. Those are supposed to give you a more accurate look at prospects than highlight vids, not that youtube ever actually gives a good look.

I too would like to see more nastiness. Everything else is there.

Meh.... 2nd round or so. Like they say I'd like to see him be more physical..good instincts though.

The guy that jumps off the screen at me in those clips is Marvin Austin... this guy is chasing every single play that he's in the game 30 yards downfield at a freakish speed for his size...what a motor.

Explodes out of his stance and never goes backwards...very quick hands and hand placement.

Chance to be the first LB drafted but IMO he needs a HUGE senior campaign for the Tarheels, like AA and defensive player of the year in the ACC.

I think his measurables will be elite for the position.

Marvin Austin is a huge enigma to me. Who is this guy, really??

I love Bruce Carter. He's great in coverage and although they don't send him on the blitz too much he can really fly to the QB. He has great sideline to sideline range and closing speed on the ball too.

Dont touch anywhere above very late rd 1. There are several bruce carter-esque lbs available, and you dont have to waste high picks on them. i wouldnt touch him above rd 2. low position value, plenty of other similar prospects that can be had later.

Cool! Thanks for the link. I have been busy for weeks moving on another flat in raleigh and that's why I missed the chance to see the game. Nice post! Really helpful to people like me.

Yeah Carter rose up pretty quick and has been respectable thus far in Dallas, really excited to see how his career pans out after he recovers from injury. It is a bummer that he has spent more time with the ultrasound machine (http://www.axessultrasound.com/ultrasound-equipment/) than on the filed thus far, but I think the guy has a bright future.

...he's been on the PUP list and hasn't even seen the practice field...
