Not sure about Locker being overrated. He's probably the next Carson Palmer (another Sarkisian protege). What are we looking at with Mallett and Luck?

I think I'd have to have Greg Little in my top ten wideouts. I don't think he's a guy who would surprise anyone by coming out early.

Other than the Sark thing, what brings you to the comparison? I'm not trying to dog you.. just a question.

There was a good article in the Seattle Times about the similarities in their careers: some success early, injuries, then a big final campaign under Sark(hopefully). I think Jake fits the QB mold of the big arm, quiet leader, able to see the field. I'm trying to sort of eliminate his bigtime speed in comparisons because i'm not sure he'll be instructed to use it much at the next level.

Culliver is a corner now. He certainly has the range to play safety in the pros, but he really needs to improve the tackling.

I'm not buying into his hype yet and I wanna see what he brings to the field this year before I throw him in the rankings

Lack of Nate Irving and George Bryan give this list a load of fail.

Don't see Sands under the S rankings.

Haven't seen enough of him yet, but a 6' 5" safety sounds intriguing.

I don't see Bryan coming out as of yet so that's why he's absent from the rankings and I'm not going to give Irving the benefit of the doubt in assuming he's back to his pre-accident form until he shows it on the field.

Sands' size and got given ability haven't taken form on the foobtall field quite yet and he's all potential right now

Zach Pianalto for TE? He is pretty balanced but has been injured... so I can see why you could be a little down on him.

I would have Texas LT Kyle Hix in the top 10 Tackle list.

I'd put both Texas Jr. LB'ers Keenan Robinson and Emmanuel Acho on the top 10 list. Acho is being moved to MLB this season I think and Robinson will play OLB. I think E. Acho could play any of the 3 LB spots if needed to.

I'd put CB Curtis Brown around #4 or #5 in CB rankings, but thats just me.

I love Enderle but the lack of consistency and accuracy against lesser competition is what has me slot him behind Johnson.

Why do you have Mark Herzlich on your list then? Recovering from cancer good enough for the benefit of the doubt? I could see how a cancer that attacks the structure of the bones from the pelvis down is easier to come back to pre-cancerous state than a car accident with a broken leg and a few broken ribs.

Weak excuse.

On another note, I wish someone could explain to me the circle jerk over Greg Little. He is NOT that good. He's a short TE who wants to play WR. I could get into comparisons, but that only turns into ***** fests. So please, someone, anyone, explain to me why Greg Little deserves to be thought of so highly for his receiving skills. Danke.

I think Jake Locker has to be #1 at this point. No way that Luck comes out. The track record for quarterbacks coming out after their redshirt sophomore year isn't very good.

yeah, Lewis would sit in the Top 3

This information caught me off-guard as I didn't understand the rule to be as such but... if I'm reading it correctly, Lewis is, indeed eligible.

Q&A: Could Lewis leave after season?
Pitt football Q&A with Paul Zeise

Wednesday, August 18, 2010
Pittsburgh Post-Gazette

A player's eligibility clock officially begins when he enters ninth grade because the rule is with regards to when his high school class graduates, not when he graduates.

Lewis was held back a year and thus was in high school for four years before going to prep school to finish his degree. That means even though he technically graduated in 2009 and is a true sophomore -- his high school class graduated in 2008 so for purposes of determining his eligibility, he is treated like a third year player, not a second-year player.

The rule officially reads -- "No player shall be permitted to apply for special eligibility for selection in the Draft, or otherwise be eligible for the Draft, until three NFL regular seasons have begun and ended following either his graduation from high school or graduation of the class with which he entered high school, whichever is earlier."

So again, Lewis was held back a year in high school and that means his clock is a year ahead of what you would think it would be. And for what it is worth, the sentiment among many at Pitt is that if he has a good year, he's gone.

Cameron Heyward is most definitely not #1 DE. He's too slow to be an edge rusher, and he's extremely inconsistent in terms of effort. Solid 3-4 DE or run-stuffing 4-3 LDE, but as an impact player? No way.

I'd definitely put Clayborn and Quinn over Heyward as DEs, and maybe some other guys.

A few small things I would disagree with.

You greatly underrate two Florida defensive backs. Ahmad Black is clearly the number two strong safety potentially behind McDaniel, Black is far better than Hill. And Jenkins at corner is easily in the top four corners, especially after he showed such improvement physically in terms of tackling and playmaking this past week.

PS I would not take a Oklahoma safety if you gave me him for free. Those safeties and defensive backs overall are such a step back from what they used to have at those positions.

And correct me if I a wrong, did Will Hill even play against Miami OH?
or that.

Only caught a bit of the Auburn-Miss St game so far but I've thought Sherrod has looked pretty good. I don't know if he sticks at left tackle but I like the push he gets.
