Every year has one, a draft prospect that you just dont like and you wouldnt like your team to touch with a 10 foot pole. The question is who those guys were for you.

for me:
2010: Maurkice Pouncey
2009: Vontae Davis
2008: Gosder Cherilus
2007: Jarvis Moss

Didnt follow the draf to go back further

Jimmy Clausen is the first name that comes to mind. No explanation needed.

I'm assuming you mean universally accepted 1st rounders...

2006 - Reggie Bush/Matt Leinart/A.J. Hawk
2007 - Adam Carricker/Leon Hall/Brady Quinn
2008 - Darren McFadden/Vernon Gholston/Sam Baker
2009 - Tyson Jackson/Mark Sanchez/Clay Matthews
2010 - Trent Williams/Russell Okung/Tim Tebow

Okay, I'll do a quick jot down of mine over the past five drafts.

2010 - Demaryius Thomas
2009 - Knowshon Moreno
2008 - Kentwan Balmer/Mike Jenkins (boy, was I wrong...)
2007 - Gaines Adams/Leon Hall (again, what was I thinking? lol)
2006 - Michael Huff (I wasn't too happy then, and surely things aren't any better now)

I'm only picking two each year 1 offense 1 defense

05: Jason Campbell/Erasmus James
06: Vince Young/John McCargo
07: JaMarcus Russell/Brady Quinn (both too easy) so I'll say Joe Staley/Jamaal Anderson
08: Joe Flacco/Kentwan Balmer
09: Josh Freeman/Robert Ayers
10: Anthony Davis/Jared Odrick

any "uber mobile" qb of the last decade, which I guess includes Tebow....

Every year there's some heated debate about one of these guys, and every year i reiterate that you have to be a qb first and an athlete second, and ever year the jackass proponents of these players tell me this is the one who is going to revolutionize the game, and every year those players fail...and the people who tout them conveniently forget that and move on to the next one...

If we're talking about players that had legit first round hype then I would say...

2001: Michael Vick (No one else even deserves to be mentioned with this scumbag)
2002: Joey Harrington / Jeremy Shockey / Ashley Lelie / Jerramy Stevens / Patrick Ramsey
2003: Byron Leftwich / Kyle Boller / Willis McGahee
2004: Eli Manning / Roy Williams / Reggie Williams / J.P. Losman / Dunta Robinson
2005: Alex Smith / Troy Williamson / Matt Jones / Dan Cody
2006: Manny Lawson / Chad Jackson / Devin Hester
2007: Brady Quinn / Adam Carriker / Jarvis Moss / Craig Davis / Anthony Gonzalez / Paul Posluszny
2008: Darren McFadden / Joe Flacco / Sam Baker / James Hardy / Malcolm Kelly
2009: Darrius Heyward-Bey / Rey Maualuga / Beanie Wells / Peria Jerry
2010: Sam Bradford / Jimmy Clausen / Tim Tebow / Taylor Mays / Selvish Capers (I hated him so much I couldn't resist not putting him in here) / Jahvid Best

Don't know if your going by where they were drafted or projected going in (I based it off of where they were picked and top twenty at that)
2010-Tyson Alualu
2009-Tyson Jackson, DHB, Larry English
2008-Derrick Harvey, Jerod Mayo
2007-Jamal Anderson, Ted Ginn, Jarvis Moss
2006-Donte Whitner, Vince Young
2005-Carlos Rogers, Thomas Davis

2007: Reggie Nelson
2008: Glen Dorsey/Sederick Ellis(just to clarify I loved both as prospects but didn't think either would fit in the 34)

How much I like or don't like a prospect has to do with where they are expected to be drafted. I don't like any prospect with serious work ethic questions going in the top half of the first round. Andre Smith was a guy I didn't like for where he went.

His game tape got him drafted that highly. He was so, so good at Alabama.

Teblow sucks. For the other ones (just of the top of my head):

2007: JaMarcus Russell, Justi Harrell
2006: Vince Young

Sorry I should have clarified, I am a Charger fan and most had him mocked to us. Since this thread is the "least favorite prospect" I just wanted to show who I was associated with.

vontae davis>>>>>>>malcolm jenkins

cherilus was a pure RT prospect, but i thought hed be dominant

2004 i was really down on reggie williams

2005 it was so obvious the steelers were going TE that it didnt matter

2006 i absolutely could not stand the idea of them taking lendale white

2007 i absoultely HATED Carriker, Hall and Revis and all the steeler rumors about them

2008 was jeff otah, thought he was a fat slob

2009 was evander hood, even though i didnt think there was even a chance the steelers would take him

2010 was dan williams, i just didnt like him in our 34

2010: Tebow, but I really didn't expect him to go in the first. Of the guys I actually expected to go in the first, it was Pierre-Paul.

2009: I was really down on both Everette Brown and Heyward-Bey, but DHB actually went in the first so he gets it. I also hated Maualuga.

2008: McFadden could run really fast in a straight line, and that's it. I simply didn't understand how he ended up a top 10 prospect. I was also pretty down on Sam Baker's tyrannosaur arms, but didn't really expect that many tackles in the first.

2007: I thought Adrian Peterson was a guy who would play an eight year career with 3 pro bowls, and 5 years that ended with a season ending injury before week 7. Marshawn Lynch, I thought was also a guy who was going to be amazingly mediocre in the NFL, and would only go in the first since RB was so shallow after the top 2.

2006: Vince Young. I just didn't think he had what it took to play quarterback in the NFL. Really didn't think much of Vernon Davis either.

2005: Troy Williamson. I just didn't see anything in his college career that merited being a first round pick, let alone a high first round pick.

2005 - Troy Williamson (great speed, couldnt catch...), Mike Williams (like the 2000 draft one reciever saved the draft from being horrific...), Travis Johnson (over rated in every aspect).
2006 - Matt Leinart (had it too easy at USC, accuracy and arm strength over rated), Tye Hill (small and limited instincts), John McCargo (Aaron Maybin type vomit...).
2007 - Ted Ginn Jr. (Glass man at WR, talented but easily breakable), Justin Harrell (Lol, really?? More hype than anything), Craig Davis (Im a LSU fan, and talent alone is useless, no football sense, could not run routes).
2008 - Lawrence Jackson (I just did not see what people were talking about), Antoine Cason (See L.J.), Kentwan Blamer (production was not NFL claiber to me).
2009 - Aaron Maybin (With Orakpo, Oher, and Cushing on the board, I almost vomited, my apologies again to the fine folks of the outer banks...), Aaron Maybin (My least favorite prospect period)...
2010 - Colt McCoy (looks like a college QB, I cant see any success in the NFL, Devin McCourty (I did not see the stellar game changing plays in college), Tim Tebow (Just dont see the first round hype, love the leadership and intangibles).

2010: Tim Tebow, Sam Bradford, Carlos Dunlap, Taylor Mays, JPP
2009: DHB, Percy Harvin, James Laurinaitus
2008: Darren McFadden (totally called Stewart > McFadden), Joe Flacco (I was laughing when the Ravens took him, oops)
2007: Gaines Adams

Any USC prospect that wasn't a lineman or linebacker.

2010 - Rolando McClain. I liked him, but definitely not in the top 10. Overall, though, I liked the talent at the top of this draft class MUCH more than ones in the past.

Honorable mention - Earl Thomas. His frame is so slight, it scares me, and I think he'll have a lot of trouble taking down big WRs, TEs, and RBs in the open field. Safeties have been way overdrafted in recent years, too.

2009 - Jason Smith. How he was drafted over Eugene Monroe, I'll never know. But I'm incredibly thankful for it.

Honorable mention - Knowshon Moreno. He thinks he's Earl Campbell, but he's got Cadillac Williams' body type, with far less elusiveness and short area quickness.

2008 - Darren McFadden. Runningbacks with chicken legs is a HUGE no-no to me. And I was absolutely smitten with Jonathan Stewart.

Honorable mention - This was another draft class I really liked, but I'll go with Matt Ryan. I thought he was a first round guy, but not a top 5 guy.

2007 - Jarvis Moss. I'm a Florida fan and still thought Moss made a HUGE mistake coming out.

Honorable mention - LaRon Landry. Liked him, but not more than Reggie Nelson and Michael Griffin. Thought he was way overdrafted, and I didn't think he and Sean Taylor would compliment each other well.

2006 - Reggie Bush/Matt Leinart - Anybody whose been around here for awhile knows that I was more down on these two than probably any two prospects of any draft class ever. Fantastic college players, but the real Heisman trophy winners were the guys mauling through Pac-10 defensive lines. Neither one of them faced any adversity in college and their skillsets simply did not translate to the NFL game. I still don't understand all the hype that these two received.

Honorable mention - D'Brickashaw Ferguson. His slight frame really scared me, and I thought he'd always have trouble maintaining weight in the NFL. It was a problem for him early in his career, but he's steadily added weight and improved every season.

My least favorite "top" prospect was Vernon Gholston. I was so terrified that Raiders were going to draft him.

That said, it should also be noted that I wasn't a big fan of Jonathan Stewart (woops).

I wasn't a fan of him that draft either, and the prospect of him falling to the Bears had me scared. He just threw way too many interceptions in college (19 as a senior) and I was afraid of him being another Rex Grossman type. Probably wouldn't have gone as high as he did if there were a better QB in that draft. But with the way the NFL works and the way the draft system is set up to grossly overpay the top picks, QBs are always going to get pushed up.

He's played well in the NFL though and i think he's going to take an Aaron Rodgers type step this upcoming season and get Atlanta back into the playoffs.
