Drew Brees won it for simply not sucking. He didn't miss any games either. Wes Welker is coming back from an ACL tear in 6 months. That is big time.

Polamalu is probably the favorite for comeback anyway, all he has to do is be Troy Polamalu.

I'm sticking with LT though, I like the Jets O-line bunches.

It's tough for a DB to win it. Being realistic here. If someone wins it on that team, it'll be TBC for putting up a ******** amount of sacks and probably a couple INTs.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion but how will Revis win MVP if he couldn't even pull down DPOTY last year. Odds are against him having a better year. He had one of the best years ever for a cornerback and still couldn't get it. MVP is also based on team success and as long as Sanchez is running that show, I don't trust any Jet to be in the running this year.

My thinking is the Jets are indeed going to go very far this year. I'd be surprised if it was any other team besides the Jets or Chargers in the Superbowl.
I'm counting out the colts because of the curse and there is no way they avoid the chargers in the playoffs this year. So yeah the Colts are still going to make the playoffs.
I count out the Ravens because of their secondary vs Edwards/Holmes/Keller and Floyd/Gates/Crayton. I just don't see the Ravens hanging with the Jets or the Chargers. The Jets D will score some points on the Ravens is my thinking.
The voting commitee isn't just going to hand the MVP to Sanchez or any of there runningbacks for that matter. They will give it to Revis to look cool. In closing I think Rivers will get jewed out of any awards.

MVP: Aaron Rodgers- The guy is a machine, could be the best QB in the NFL this season.

OPOY: Adrian Peterson- AD had some fumbling issues but I think he'll put that behind him and I think the Vikings are really going to lean on Peterson with Favre being a gimp and the offense missing Rice for a long period of time along with Harvin having more migraine issues than ever.

DPOY: LaMarr Woodley- Its only a matter of time, he has been inconsistent but when he is on, there is no force at LB that is more dominant. When Woodley is playing his absolute best, he is the best pass rushing LB in the NFL, he is powerful, strong, fast, mean and tenacious. I think he puts it all together this season and finally becomes more consistent (instead of putting sacks up in clumps). This guy is what Shawne Merriman should be.

OROY: CJ Spiller- There are a lot of candidates and I strongly considering guessing Ryan Matthews or Jahvid Best. All 3 runners have been nothing short of fantastic this pre-season but I feel like CJ Spiller was the most impressive, essentially putting up 50 yards and a TD each time he played. Plus he is already the starter in Buffalo and if you factor in his return potential he is a better candidate than Harvin was last year IMO.

DROY: Brandon Graham- Another one where I strongly considered putting other players like Eric Berry, Suh or McClain but I feel like Graham is in the best situation and he looked great in the pre-season. Brandon Graham only notched one sack during the pre-season but he had consistent pressure, he had numerous QB hits and he was fantastic against the run, the Eagles are so high on him that they already promoted him to the starting LE spot over the established veterans in Darryl Tapp and Jaqua Parker. Graham did nothing but wreak havoc in training camp and he did the same in the pre-season, look for him to convert more sack opportunities when the Eagles defense isn't vanilla and when the offenses use more pass plays that take longer to develop.

OROY - Dez Bryant - He's joining the perfect situation for a WR.
DROY - Sean Witherspoon

OPOY - Adrian Peterson - Old QB...extremely large OL...Rice injured...Harvin's health up and down...he's entering his prime...he's ridiculously talented...he's got a chip on his shoulder with all those fumbles...Should be his best season yet.
DPOY - DeMarcus Ware - Should be his 2nd, but whatever. Finally gets credit.

Coach of the Year - Wade Phillips

MVP - Probably Romo...I think the Cowboys are the real sleeping giants in the league...they're my SB pick. Saying that here probably jinxed it.

Of course...that and Rodgers MVP award has been signed, sealed, and delivered all offseason. It's the in thing to predict...

Unfortunately for the Matthews crowd Bryant, Best, and Spiller exist to split the vote.

As far as Rodgers...the hype is nice but ridiculous...Rivers > Rodgers.

Yeah, I hate making the "obvious" picks.. but since I usually try to go for the not so obvious picks, me making the obvious picks is not so obvious. Right? So it's cool?

I think it's quite peculiar when someone has a QB for MVP but not for Offensive Player of the Year. Doesn't the QB win MVP and OPOY like 250% of the time? Save for really really special performances..
