Before he was a GM, he was a announcer on fox. I remember watching him but i dont remember if he was good or not. He was being groomed to be the number 1 guy on fox though after madden, at least thats what i read off his wikipedia.

My question is was he a good announcer?

He wasn't really a full-time announcer or analyst I don't think. THe only thing I remember from his was one game he did a broadcast from on the field. He was setup with a microphone and was on the field like a referee. Sort of made a fool of himself if I remember correctly.
