Discuss all week 3 games.

Cincy vs NC State on Thursday night. Kansas vs Southern Miss and Cal vs Nevada on Friday night.

Arkansas @ UGA, Maryland @ WVU, GT @ UNC and ECU @ Va Tech are some solid early games. Nebraska vs Washington should be a nice test for Locker (as well as a chance to see Taylor Martinez against a somewhat legit team). Arizona State @ Wisconsin, UF vs Tenn and BYU vs FSU are the other afternoon match ups. Miss St/LSU, Clemson/Auburn and Texas/TT are the late games. Iowa and Arizona play late, Wake Forest and Stanford play super late.

Not quite as good as last week but a lot of interesting match ups this week.

I am definitely looking forward to seeing Washington against Nebraska.

Not only does Locker have to deal with a talented DLine including Jared Crick, but the only semi reliable receiver has will likely be covered by Prince Amakamura the whole game, so it will be interesting to see what Locker can do.

Shaun Draughn RB for UNC has also been cleared to play, alot of players have been saying that we needed the bye week to prepare for GT, first home game which is good and looking forward to how we respond from such a close lost to LSU.

Outside of the homer in me, Locker facing a defense like Nebraska will be interesting but other than that kind of weak schedule. Clemson and Burn should be a great game, and if I have somebody on upset alert (not giant upsets) but UF in Neyland could be scary for the Gators imo and Miss St/LSU

Could move into the top 10 with a win over Furman and some help. Rare territory for South Carolina. lol. I love it, though.

I'll be watching Auburn closely this week...I dont buy that ranking. And SCAR plays them next week, so we'll see how that one goes.

Iowa DC Norm Parker not making the trip to Arizona.

For those that don't know, Parker has diabetes and has lost I believe 2 or 3 toes from it, and is regularly in and out of the hospital. He missed last weeks game after having to check in to the hospital the day before.

As for the effect on the game, this could be pretty big. Iowa is known to have a well disciplined defense that thrives on preparation and execution, a good bulk of which is established during practices. We'll have to see how much this affects game day as it could be a huge game changer in favor of Arizona, or have little to no effect at all.

Gamecocks booted Wesyle Saunders off the team. Guy never panned out like I expected him to anyway. Still, he was considered to be one of the top prospects at TE for the upcoming draft. Kiper loves the guy for whatever reason, had him ranked #2. He's always been pretty over weight and lazy, honestly.

I'm very, very confident about the GT game.

As am I..2 weeks to prepare for the option is always good, Droughn is back as well as though he isn't a game breaker he complements J White and can cut it up and get up field, he runs like Marion Barber. Tech is still dangerous but we are pretty motivated for this game and them losing players like Morgan, Thomas, and Dwyer has already shown to hurt them. First home game too!

Ditto. The weather here in Seattle calls for a chance of rain, (what a surprise), i'm looking at the Jared Crick vs Jake Locker matchup. The Washington O-line is atrocius so they may have to double team Crick, should be interesting. Wouldnt be a shock to see the UW win. They played their best game here in week 3 last year when they beat SC.

Want to trade? The line on Alabama-Duke went up to Duke +22 with the announcement that Heisman winner Ingram will play, I would still like to see the Tide play here on the Left Coast where rain is predicted Sat. & Sun. before the SEC grind begins. The Nebraska game is Locker's NFL audition against a quality Big 12 (soon to be Big 10 or Big 13 or whatever) defense.

After Ponder tanked last weekend I think Locker is the #1 QB going into next April. Mallett will have to beat Bama the following weekend at home, or SCAR in Columbia, or LSU in Little Rock to be the #1 draftable franchise QB & I don't see that happening b/c Petrino despite the better supporting cast is his own worst enemy & Sarkisan actually knows wth he's doing.

Nevada's offense is so deceptive. I'm on board with the Kaepernick as an mid round NFL prospect. He needs some major refinement as a passer, but he isn't hopeless. Runs the option as well as I've ever seen a guy run it. If he doesn't make it as a passer he's got a chance to be a wide receiver or a tight end.

The thing that makes Kaepernick such an interesting prospect is that he also has a cannon for an arm. The guy was drafted to the MLB as a pitcher if im not mistaking. For a college offense Kaepernick is exactly what Pryor should be imo. As a pro prospect Kaepernick can be trained to be a slightly more cerebral and accurate Vince Young when handled correctly.

Arkansas has some nice propects. Like wicket said Mallett has shown why he's a top prospect, but his accuracy and decision making is still questionable. Joe Adams has some speed and he's been making plays all over the field. He's made plays deep, on screens, after the catch, returning. I haven't been paying alot of attention to Love, but like the announcer said we have heard Houstons name called all game. The player who's really impressed me though is Alfred Davis. He's been getting double teams all game, and Georgia hasnt been able to run at him at all. He's got prototypical NT size, and he's gonna make a 3-4 team very happy when he comes out.

He doesn't have anywhere near the command of where his ball is going to go as he should. He's also playing in an extremely quarterback friendly offense. He probably will go top 15, no doubt about it even, but he scares me. He doesn't feel or evade the rush well either, demonstrated there.

Yea, but I still like Mallett in the right situation though. If the Chiefs are picking around 10-15, and Cassell is terrible all year i'd be happy with Mallett. Especially if our o-line and running game perform to the level I think they well. In a ball control offense with a good o-line I think he could be really productive early. Kind of like big ben when he came into the league. Run the ball down their throats and let Mallett run playaction/ bootlegs and throw the ball downfield.

Beautiful game-winning drive by Mallett. I think what eventually brings him down besides his inconsistency is the off-field things. There's rumblings of him sleeping through meetings and he just seems immature on the field, taunting players and letting emotions get to him when he's frustrated.

I still like him too but I don't see him falling out of the top 10. Even if he has a mediocre year, his physical tools are going to get him drafted high. There's always a coach who thinks he can fix the issues and make a great player. Plus there are just so many teams that could realistically need a new QB that there might be a run on them early.

Mallet's issues ARE fixable. I just don't think his talent level matches what Luck and Locker put out there overall. He has the strongest arm in any draft class that doesn't include JaMarcus Russell(and even that is a toss up), but his feel for the passing game and his accuracy are not up to par. Doesn't even have the best physical tools overall in the draft eligible quarterbacks if you factor in Locker's arm/speed combination.
