Aha Gabe taking Erin, didn't expect that. Hah I guess they are going back and trying to recreate the whole Jim/Pam/Roy love triangle. This has potential to be incredibly brilliant or incredibly horrid considering all 3 characters are extremely weird and awkward.

Yeah actually. I don't know how I did it. I managed to watch it all while working, going to school, sleeping with what I'd say are pretty good sleeping habits and maintaining a social life(albeit slightly reduced). I also didn't watch any other TV other than football games and Daily Show/Colbert.

I'm not one of those people who think The Office is done after this season, or that it's jumped the shark; I just feel they have too many strong characters and writers and it's still a better show than 95% of the garbage on TV but man oh man....

I loved last night's episode. I can see why it is divisive, but I think it was very refreshing for this show.

Creed was as funny as he's ever been last night, and The Office has always had some of its best moments when it involves music and singing (think the Local Ad episode, Dwight and Andy's dueling banjos, etc)

Darryl was also awesome, and I am so glad Michael didn't run on stage. That was the right amount of inappropriateness for Michael.

Grizzlegom
10-08-2010, 12:27 PM
I was a big fan of last night's episode as well. I'm liking this season much more than the last 2 so far. Creed was golden as always, loved just about every character's parts last night. Pretty pumped about 'Michael's women' coming back next week.

also, was it just me or was Angela hot for the first time last night? I think the continued story of her and Dwight is one of the better lines this season (better than Andy/Gabe/Erin at least).

Xiomera

I like Dwight better with Isabel. If they didn't make Erin so over-the-top dumb so much, it'd make Andy's courtship of her make more sense.

I didn't hate this episode like I expected I would once I learned of its premise.

Michael, once again this season, walked up to the line of doing off the deep end, but then surprised everyone by not making an enormous scene at the most inappropriate of times.

I actually liked that Michael wanted nothing more than to feel a part of a community, even if it were a religious community that he didn't know, and they didn't know him.

The Toby plotline, which got all of 60 seconds, was fantastic. His final line in the church was one of the best of the season.

My only complaint was a lack of Darryl and Creed, who were only seen sleeping in church. I don't think either had a single line, did they?

The Jim-Pam storyline was subpar, and I wasn't overly thrilled with Dwight's actions, but overall it was a middle of the pack episode this season.

Season 7 is infinitely better than Season 6 so far.

No, not exactly.

When you send a WUPHF, it sends a message to every possible contact means of someone else (or a group of people...or everyone in your contact list).

When you send a WUPHF, it puts out a Tweet, sends a text message, sends a Stephen Hawking voice message, posts of Facebook & MySpace, sends a fax, sends an email, and sends an IM to every account you have. It's somewhat cool - but mostly annoying - actually.

My review thus far on the season.

Characters:

Jim:
-I do like how they are showing some of his vulnerabilities these past two seasons. They are showing his jealousy a bit (with Pam's ex) and have cut back on the gags with him a bit more. I like him picking on Gabe moreso than Dwight, though the foot/coffee/crotch bit was the best cold opening IMO. Just think it's a little late to start showing them, but better than never.

Dwight:
-Him in charge of the building I thought would be a disaster for the series but I do like the storyline a bit. He was MVP of the Xmas episode. I do like how he is not exactly the biggest kiss-ass anymore, he's carving some independence.

Pam:
-I, personally, am getting sick of her character. She's funny on occasion but I'm just tired of her complain about her struggles though I did applaud her exchange with Gabe for Office Administrator.

Erin:
-Very solid character. Like the storyline with her and Michael, her and Andy and her and Gabe. I'm pleased with her.

Michael:
-Still my favorite character on the show. He currently has the line of the year (I don't know what the **** that was about" directed at Erin). He's been my personal favorite.

Darryl and Andy:
-Both are great, especially their friendship. Daryl is my prediction for taking over Mike's job.

Ryan:
-Needs more time I think.

Overall, I like this season more than the last two. Not as good as the first three but I think from seasons 4-7, this has been a good one. Loved China, Classy Christmas, Halloween, etc.

I demand more of the Andy, Kevin, Darryl band in the warehouse. The scenes incorporating music are always fantastic (Last scene of "Andy's Play," Dwight/Andy singing "Take me home country road," the Local Ad songs with the staff, "Cafe Disco," etc.)

I recall enjoying a single scene in "Costume Contest," that being the one where Michael makes Kevin cry and Kevin says, "**** you, Gabe."

Other than that, it was underwhelming.

After going back and watching every episode for a second time, I rank them like this:

1. Classy Christmas
2. Costume Contest

4. China
5. WUPHF.COM

7. Nepotism
8. Sex Ed
9. Counseling (Thought this ep. had a lot of potential but it didn’t do enough for me.)
10. Viewing Party

I'm not sure I laughed once. The cold open was ok but I didn't like anything else. I especially hated how Jim acused Angela of taking the baby. He seemed out of character. Then there was the whole B-story with Michael and Andy going on the bus to Mexico. I just found it incredibly awkward and unfunny. Just my opinion.

There haven't been too many episodes that I haven't liked but this is definitely one of them.

I guess I can buy that. There really haven't been too many single memorable moments this season so yeah.

I loved Thurday's episode. Kevin + Creed = Winning formula

I don't think Dwight and Angela will get back together again. It's more fun to see them apart. Angela with her delusions about the senator and Dwight with his alpha male attitude and surprising luck with women way out of his league (Isabelle, the girls he met in "Night Out," etc.).

And Ricky Gervais is making a cameo next week, so that will be great.

This episode is already one of the best in a while for me. Going back to a lot of the classic things that make this show soooo good.

This episode is epic! Nothing can beat drunken Jim and Pam.

Awesome episode. Lots of laugh out loud moments and a lot of Jim and Pam stuff (something that's been missing this season).

The show will continue. NBC will run it into the ground if it has to. And the more episodes it goes, the more money they get in syndication deals.

The NBC way of course, run it into ground to make most $$, then $pin off.

"She goes to another school" ~ Kevin

Amazing, puts that in Kevins top 5 quotes... could possibly be number 1.

A new cast member announced for season 8. By the looks of the picture, I approve.
