Bowl games start next Saturday so I figured we could get this started.

Smooth Criminal

Win or loss, WVU should fire Bill Stewart.

If WVU loses its very possible the Big East will go 0-4 in bowls against other BCS conferences.

And they get advantages with having two of their top teams, Pitt and WVU, playing lower teams in other conferences, NC State and Kentucky.

The Big East is truly terrible this year. Worst I've ever seen it by far.

The Hummanitarian Bowl might actually be pretty good. Northern Illinois has put up a lot of points this season. It has potential to be a high-scoring match. In games that don't matter that's what I like to see.

Gotta say... **** you if you don't like Bowl games. We've got some really cool match-ups this year.

Penn State-Florida
Florida State-South Carolina
Mississippi State-Michigan
Alabama-Michigan State
LSU-Texas A&M
Northwestern-Texas Tech
Mizzou-Iowa
Notre Dame-Miami
North Carolina-Tennessee
Oklahoma State-Arizona
West Virginia-NC State
Boise State-Utah

and that's not including the BCS games or the smaller games like Louisville-Southern Miss, N. Illinois-Fresno State, G Tech-Air Force, and Hawaii-Tulsa...

Tons of great match-ups. Can't wait...

I don't care about scoring alot of points or a close game really. I like watching quality defense be played, and I like watching big programs that I actually have a reason to care about. I enjoy watching games where I actually have a reason to root for an outcome.

Yet Im sitting here watching BYU and UTEP and I'm sure I'll watch whateve game comes on next.

God damn it. Why at Boise? I hate that annoying field.

I think Boise kills them. I really wasn't impressed with Utah's season at all when you look at it. They lose to ND, get blown out by TCU, barely beat a Pitt team that didn't even play well, and their last 3 wins (AF, SDST, BYU) were all very close games the Utah struggled. I was not impressed with Utah this season in the least.

Boise on the other hand has a ton of talent on offense, and played great defense all year. I dont think they have any problem shutting down Utah's offense, and we all know what Boise is going to do when they have the ball.

I think Boise wins 45-13

The Mountaineers announced Thursday that sophomore center Joe Madsen, reserve nose tackle Josh Taylor and backup defensive back Eain Smith are academically ineligible for the game against NC State. On the TD catch, he reminded me of an Anquan Boldin or Hakeem Nicks type. It was a "dirty" catch and run where there was contact and he had to break away from the defender to get it....pretty nice.

He could definitely be a nice pickup as a possession WR in the 3rd/4th round. Already 100 yards and a TD in his bowl game will give his stock a nice boost.

Well, it's not tough when you have 5 WRs being covered 2 CBs and 3 LBs, especially when one of those LBs is named Troy Johnson. But Gabbert has looked awesome so far. A little strong on some passes, but for the most part all his passes have been pin point and catchable.

How did he make that throw? He had enough time to set his feet and face downfield and then he proceeded to throw it straight into the defenders chest.

He does that all the damn time. Poor throwing mechanics. He also outright gives up on routes if they aren't there within a second and takes off to the opposite side of the field he was reading.

I wouldn't put to much stock into Coker's performance, Mizzou's starting DT is out with an injury and our linebackers can't tackle. What's his name for Nebraska had 300 yards rushing and he's horrible.

Well he's been good in the time he's played so far this year (last like 5 games), plus our OL is very young and has looked awesome in the last half of the season as well.

I've never seen a quarterback stare down a reciever as much as Blaine Gabbert has done in this game.

He might as well yell at the top of his voice that he's going to throw it to TJ Moe on every offensive play before the snap, because that and scrambling for 2 yards has been all Missouri has had going for it on offense tonight.

Yea, I'm really confused from an offensive gameplan point of view. Iowa has been covering 1-2 WRs with a slow LB all game, yet Gabbert continually only throws to Moe who will have a DB on him...

But when he threw it to the guys covered by the LB, it resulted in huge gains. I don't know if it's Gabbert or the play call, but if he would just keep going to those 4th and 5th WR, Mizzou would have scored 40.

UNC-Tennessee on right now.

Draughn had a really nice TD run, shaking Janzen Jackson with a sick juke.

Kendric Burney picks off Bray in the flat with a nice read and break, but he runs into a swarm of players and fumbles it right back to the Vols. If he cut it to the left he had a whole side of the field open and likely would've scored a TD. Terrible vision with the ball.

Well UT sure does but I don't know how we can revamp everything so quickly and still be bowl eligible. Im guessing Renner will be our starter next year with a better line hopefully we can just plug guys in. Problem is we aren't a big time football school so it is hard to do that. Defense should be a strength since we had a ton of youth playing this season.

As far as this game, Bray has been letting it fly for the most part. Losing Deunta was pretty ****** especially since Bruce was already out for this game too, but Kendric has played real well and if the pass rush continues to disrupt then we could be alright.
