Marcus Cannon

-Very early, but he has been very physical in run blocks especially coming down onto a DT.

-The guys athletic ability is almost criminal he is making pass blocks against JJ Watt, a 1st round guy, without kick sliding and at 350lbs. he is moving back better then Watt.

-He needs better footwork if he is going to play either OT in the NFL.

Gabe Carimi

-I really do not like his kick slide. It is nice and discipline coming out of his stance, but he starts dancing when the DL starts moving.

-Physical and stays incredibly low for a 6'7" man in the run game.

John Moffitt

-Very good run blocker and stays on his block till the end.

Carimi is a very impressive at the second level.

He just man handled Tanner Brock.

Im impressed with Wisconsin as a whole. Carimi looks to be a starting OT type in the NFL, late 1st to early 2nd. Moffitt can be a OG or C for a team in the 3rd-4th rounds

Don't forget C Jake Kirkpatrick who for some reason no one wants to talk about but me and QB Andy Dalton.

Don't forget about Peter Konz.

Moffit is a guy I really like to be a C in a power blocking scheme like SD has. I would love to have him at SD, and he's a guy who you could get a steal in the 4th or 5th round.

Kirkpatrick has looked good early on. Damn there are quite a few linemen with pro potential in this game

Is Peter Konz related to Jameson Konz in any way??

No one mentioned J.J. Watt.

As in any Wisconsin discussion should include Watt because he plays on the other side of the ball.

Yah your right. He got REALLY shut DOWN by Cannon, what a great job that Cannon did. Really though look at the OP. That whol OL prospects thing. Cannon had a great game though, i think he's insanely athletic for a 350+ lb guy.

Cannon will be a pro bowl caliber Guard in the NFL IMO. I think he could be a solid RT, but his best fit is inside a lot like Iupati last year.

I would love Cannon on the Browns' line. Peyton Hillis certainly wouldn't mind either I don't think....a 360 pounder who moves like he does isn't very common.

How is Cannon not going to the Senior Bowl?

The guy looked really good against JJ Watt and I think teams would like to see him at OG, which will be his NFL position.

JJ Watt didn't get "shutdown" by anyone, he was just game planned very well for. He still have multiple pressures and was strong in the run game.

Yeah, not quite sure what game people were watching if they thought Watt got "shut down". He didn't get a sack on Cannon but Cannon was certainly struggling at times and gave up multiple pressures off the edge to Watt. There was the holding call that Cannon had on Watt where he got embarrassed on an inside move and Cannon had to hold him as a last resort to prevent a sack. There was also the procedure call on Cannon where you could tell that he was just a little anxious about getting beat off the edge by Watt. All in all Cannon played alright. He wasn't overly impressive but was pretty good, a lot like he's played all season. Don't see going any higher than the mid 2nd and is most likely a 3rd round pick at this point.

They were running the read option at Watt quite a bit and by design i dont think he was blocked a lot. If anything he took himself out of some plays but he still was the best lineman on the field from what i saw.

Well when you see him crash down hard, their WLB needs to scrape to the outside and keep contain. But TCU's TE's and WR's were doing a good job at sealing the OLB inside. So at times it would look like Watt was biting hard on the fake and giving up contain, but coming down hard on the RB was his primary responsibility on most plays when TCU ran zone read.

That was a sick move by Watt. Made Cannon look silly on the inside spin.

Maybe the most impressive thing about Cannon to me is how he carries his weight. I know he's tall, but for being listed at 350, he doesn't look it. Isn't thick and despite the high number, I don't think weight will be a concern for him.
