I haven't done a mock this year, so it's about time. I started this last night, so I didn't know about Vince Young not being back in Tennessee and I think a QB is a very good possibility there, but didn't feel like changing everything. I did the Patriots pick to start out the second because I didn't know which guy to give them at 32 and I didn't think it really mattered who they took where, so I just made both picks. I just took the order that PFT had posted, if I were to make the playoff order myself it would look different, but I didn't feel like changing it accurately. I went around to the various team forums to see what positions they said were the biggest needs and the players they felt fit those needs, so I hope I did at least a decent job, otherwise it's on your team's fans. The most difficult picks for me were the Cowboys, Eagles, Saints, Ravens, and surprisingly somewhat the Vikings (I didn't know which QB to give us). I didn't feel like writing out an explanation for the picks, but if you want one I will gladly give it. I proofread it quickly, but I may have missed something, so let me know if I made a mistake.

so why does Atlanta take a 3-4 DE when we don't run a 3-4?

lol yeah because he is only a 3-4 end.... guess you fail to realize how much time he spent playing DT at Miami in a 4-3. You want to explain why he is only a 3-4 DE?

I don't think Bailey's a 3-4 end only. He can very easily play in the 4-3 as a left end or at tackle as RyanBraun8 stated.

Great Miami pick! Thank God there's someone out there that realizes we need a QB!

I agree that baily could be used in a justin tuck type role, playing l.e. in base packages and kicking in to u.t. in passing situations. With that said he has no place in a cover 2 tampa scheme like atlanta runs unless its strictly as u.t.....atlanta needs a natural r.e.

in atlanta he's a UT or he's not a pick. We don't need a DT at all. Our ends tend to be smaller and quicker at around 6'3-6'5" and 250-265. The only outlier there is Jamaal Anderson. Allen Bailey at DE in our scheme would be worse than Jamaal. He's not a good pick and doesn't fit the need we have of a pure pass rusher.

I actually like the pats mock. Missing out on Kerrigan is sad though

Nice Pats mock. I'd take Aldon Smith at #33 just because we need an OLB in the worst possible way. But Costanzo is a nice pick also.

The Bears pick is ok. We're so easy to mock for this year.

I don't know why people keep putting Pouncey in the first. That's Pittsburgh's problem here, though, so I don't care.

I hadn't heard anything about Smith coming out, so I decided to play it as though he was staying in school. If I'd have had him coming out, he probably would have went to Atlanta or even New Orleans.

I had a hard time putting Pouncey there, but I think Pitt could be willing to take him before anyone else.
