10. Washington Redskins - Cam Newton, QB, War Eagle

I get the Newton pick and at this point Newton is the top QB on my board for the Skins but Im just not sure yet that any of the QBs are worth a top 10 pick and the guaranteed money that comes with it. I'd feel more comfortable with a dline, olb, or wr pick at 10 but if shanahan is sold on a qb than im going to trust his pick. obviously a trade down is the best case scenario for the skins because we need picks and value is better for us in the mid/late first.

Why did Diab give us Carimi over Sherrod?

That was me actually. The Giants and Bucs picks mixed up. I gave you guys Carimi over Sherrod because I feel Carimi is a better player and a better fit.

Great KC pick.

Running Back and quarter back are much bigger needs for Miami than WR so i'd much rather see us take a guy like Ingram or Gabbert.

I do want Jimmy Smith but he probably won't be there at 32.

Sherrod is a boss. Good pick.

Blaine Gabbert would be a better pick for the Phins at 15. We need a QB very badly and Torrey is a bit of a reach in the middle of the first IMO.

I can dig the 49ers pick .If we go there then second round for QB cause our defense back field sucks.

Well with Julio gone, it came down to 3-4 personnel vs. QB. I could see Shanahan finding a QB who fits his offense in the 2nd or 3rd and developing that guy, but the reality Rex Grossman as of now will be the starting QB heading into next season. QB has to be the top priority. It came down to Locker or Newton. Locker might be the best fit for a Shanahan offense I've seen in my time following the draft, but Newton has a lot of the same qualities that he looks for. Mobility, ability to throw on the run, strong arm. Although I like both guys a lot, I get the impression that Locker isn't viewed nearly as high by NFL people as he is by fans/media so taking him in the top 10 might be viewed as a stretch. I thought Newton had better value and the tools that Shanny could mold into something special.

A++ draft.

I don't really like the Castonzo pick as a fan, but it does make sense. I would rather have Rodney Hudson. (who can fill one of the 3 interior OL positions, all of which may be changed in the next 2 years)

A RT can be gotten at pick 64 fairly easily and Sebastian Vollmer is a great LT who only doesn't play there because the Patriots have no options at RT without him playing it. Matt Light can play LT though.

Great Patriots draft. I could see any/all of those picks happening.
