Most Hated/beloved characters thread

Basically just a discussion of your personal favorite/ least favorite characters from tv, movies, comics, books etc....



For me, my least favorite from a television show is Skyler White from breaking bad. She is never established as a like able character, she just is portrayed waaaay too nosey and freaks out way too early in the show to sympathize what shes going through.

Favorite character from a tv show would most likely be Ben from Lost. Ben would likely make a top five favorite Villains for me from any universe. Watching him manipulate everyone around him for five seasons were some of the best parts of the show for me. I'm glad things ended the way they did for him.

For comics this one is easy for me but Batman has always been that one character growing up I loved. I have every comic uploaded to my computer and just recently finished most of the story arcs, which sounds nerdish but I like reading.

Least favorite character from the comics is Superman. His character just doesn't interest me in the slightest, has every power he needs depending on the storyline hes in, and his one weakness being a green rock. Luthor is a cool villain but really just isn't someone that can do a whole lot to the immortal boy scout. I could have went aquaman here but thats just too easy, I down right can't stand super man.

I hate all these characters on the self obsessed models pretending to be doctors, lawyers or whatever shows. They're all just a bunch of pretty people working at hospitals or law firms and constantly talking about their relationships. As if that's what doctors and lawyers do at work all the time. I can hardly stand to listen to them when my wife watches those shows.

Loved the old Gil Kane Silver Age of Comix Batman, hated the new vigilante Dark Knight version of same. He wasn't broken so why fix him.? So Miller could sell some graphic novels & film rights I guess.

i hate anything colin farrell has so much as associated himself with, dude is complete definition of a tool.

The guy from saving private ryan sucks and rudy is amazing. kurt russell was legit in miracle and lee ermey in full metal jacket's very legit.

but best character every is batman. superman sucks, hes invincible and almost everything he does is completely impossible in every way or changed from the original comic (superman couldnt fly originally, just jump incredibly high/far so it almost seemed like he flew). Batman however was just a normal dude in tights who could beat the ever living hell out of anyone. now thats freaking cool. being a vigilante would be awesome.

Christian Bale as Patrick Bateman rules!!!! btw several A-listers turned the role down, it made Bale a household name. The character is the book is 400% >> shocking &, well, deranged psychotic, than the film role.

Those two just happen to be Michael Beihn. I like that he always ends up as the hero of these impossible situation....he had to be a "crisis management" expert in both of those movies...plus he dies in both (kinda.) I'm a sucker for characters who sacrifice themselves.

I think there is two kind of hated characters. The kind you hate because it is a useless, annoying character you know like skylar in breaking bad, marc zuckerberg in the social network and all the other guys you hate but you are supposed to hate like for exemple Sephiroth in FF7 I hated his guts for killing Aeris but that's the point that's what makes him a cool character

Couldn't agree any more with these. Schillinger is what hatred is all about.

Stansfield is definitely sick, evil, and overall hated, but I can't help but love his over-the-top-ness.
