Swap Akeem Ayers with Julio Jones, Jerrell Jernigan for Marcus Cannon and Justin Houston for Aldon Smith and that would be a good Pats draft.

Ayers is soft.
Jernigan is not the type of WR we need, if there is a need.
Houston is a good pick but Smith would be better IMO.
Williams would be a luxury pick and not a neccessity but ok.

just um wow is all i have to say .

01-13-2011, 03:13 AM
RB in the first is really bad. ILB in the second is worse.

01-13-2011, 03:29 AM
Ingram is a nice pick, I could also see Jake Locker being taken there, and IMO that's the better pick since this draft is so loaded at RB. I'd happily take Locker in the 1st and Ryan Williams in the 3rd for Miami. :)

Cardinals passing on Green for Sherrod would be just like AD and Levi Brown, simply can't do it, such a huge reach. I would take Green, Amukamara or Quinn there with an outside chance of Newton. Locker in the 2nd would be fine, Gabbert or Beal would be solid picks as well

01-13-2011, 07:47 AM
Not sure the Rams can afford to pass on Julio Jones. Still, Clayborn isn't a terrible selection.

10. Redskins- DE Cameron Jordan, Cal

41. Redskins- RB Daniel Thomas, Kansas St.

Big Cam Jordan fan. I think he is the perfect fit for our defensive line. If Julio runs in the mid 4.4s as he is expected than I definitely think he will be a strong possibility. I also like Heyward and Kerrigan as options. Ideally, we would trade down 5-10 spots given the need we have for more draft picks and take one of these guys.

I don't however like the Daniel Thomas pick. When healthy, Torain showed a lot of potential this year. Pair that with the fact that Shanahan has a history of adding RBs late in the draft and through FA and I think the Skins are more likely to address other needs early. If they did go RB early I think it would be for a speedster that would better compliment Torain. Pouncey would be a great pick for the Skins at guard. Aaron Williams and Gabbert would be good value too.

3. Bills- DE Da'Quan Bowers, Clemson
4. Bengals- S/CB Patrick Peterson, LSU
6. Browns- WR AJ Green, Georgia
7. 49ers- CB Prince Amukamara, Nebraska
8. Titans- QB Cameron Newton, Auburn

34. Bills- ILB Greg Jones, Michigan St.
37. Browns- OLB Justin Houston, Georgia
38. Cards- QB Jake Locker, Washington
45. 49ers- QB Blaine Gabbert, Missouri
54. Colts- OT Riley Reiff, Iowa

I could handle Bowers in the first, not sure where he fits (3-4 OLB/DE?, 4-3 DE) in the hybrid scheme they plan on employing next year, or future wise if they go 3-4... The 4 guys I listed are all in the conversation value wise, and need to a certain degree as well. In the second round, Jones is not a good fit at all IMO, we need more of a thumper, and Jones gets eaten up too much IMO, Houston is good insurance for Merriman, Locker and Gabbert would be allowed to develop behind Fitzy, and Reiff would be a upgrade at RT, and could potentially take over for Bell at LT. Bowers talent wise makes sense, and Bruce Smith played at a high level with similar physical attributes (much leaner however IMO) in a 3-4, so it could work. Jones in the 2nd however makes little if any sense to me, especially considering the other options still on the your board...

Give Bengals a safety or OL in round 2... LB is not a good fit in round 2..

01-13-2011, 09:42 AM
Carimi and Reiff to the Colts. I can't stand up right now.

01-13-2011, 09:45 AM
I don't know anything about Sash, but Mallet is a great pick.

01-13-2011, 10:01 AM
Solid Pats mock, would rather have a 3-4 DE with one of the 2nd rounders though.

01-13-2011, 01:35 PM
acceptable first rounder for the saints, hunter in the second would make me rage

01-13-2011, 01:38 PM
So much for realistic, you do not have Gabbert nor Locker in your 1st round.

01-13-2011, 03:39 PM
31. Falcons- TE Kyle Rudolph, Notre Dame

63. Falcons- WR Jerell Jernigan, Troy

Kyle Rudolph just doesn't look like a 1st round TE in my eyes. I'd rather take Aldon Smith in the 1st and hope Rudolph falls to us in the 2nd. I like the Jernigan pick though, gives us a guy who could be a stud across from Roddy.
Leonard Hankerson would be epic though..

01-13-2011, 05:23 PM
ANOTHER Georgia Receiver and a Georgia OLB?!?!?

I'm down.

01-13-2011, 05:35 PM
Solid pats mock... sad not to see a 34 de though
Jones is a beast, Smith is a freak, Cannon is versatile and Moch is a project w/ a huge upside
I like it

01-13-2011, 05:38 PM
I doubt the Titans go for Cam Newton after VY. Mallett would probably be more realistic.

In the 2nd, I'm almost bummed you went QB in the first with Gabbert still available. But since QB has already been addressed, Pouncey, Aaron Williams, or Bruce Carter would be better picks than Kendricks. TE is probably a 3rd-4th RD need with how Jared Cook came on to end the season. C/G is a huge issue, and Williams and Carter are BPA's to me that also coincide with a need at the position.

Matthew Jones

The Patriots don't need two pass rushers (Jermaine Cunningham seems like a keeper on one side), but I like Julio Jones and Aldon Smith there. I'd change Cannon to Nate Solder (seems similar to Vollmer, who the Patriots obviously liked), and maybe throw in an OT or DE at the end of the second. I think New England would maybe like Justin Houston more than Aldon Smith as well, because he has 3-4 experience and is a junior instead of a sophomore. Smith is possible though.

Terrible picks for the Packers.
Leshoure is good, but we already have our young stud RB, and taking a RB in round one, he better be superstar.

We have tons of ILBers.
