It's a status symbol. Everywhere I go, people walk with a Starbucks in their hands. Who agrees? And also, they just established a record label.

Starbucks is one of the many devils of North America, along with Facebook and American Idol.

Starbucks = all that is right in this world. Delicious.

The coffee is so expensive because they are trying to "keep trade fair"... which they aren't really doing, but whatever. It's delicious.

Starbucks is so good but it is expensive. I try not to go there unless someone has given me a giftcard because you waste a lot of money if you go to Starbucks often.

And it is amazing. Coffee is my anti-drug. Or pro-drug I guess.

Not a big fan of Starbucks, but I am a frequent visitor . . . the ladies love that place, lol.

Starbucks is pretty much the 3rd wheel in Buffalo. Tim Horton's for the simple stuff, and Spot Coffee for all that fancy gunk.

I drink on average around 6-10 cups of coffee per day, but I have never had starbucks.

I wonder how long it will be before Starbucks moves into Walmarts?

True Story.

You know that their coffee sucks because they don't even call it coffee. I don't appreciate feeling degraded and having to ask for a "home brew drip". Plus there's an entire menu of blends and regions that I'm positive they make up so that they can justify charging three bucks for some coffee. Let's not even mention that a frappacino is the appletini of caffeinated beverages. And I haven't got into all of the holier-than-thou crap that they surround themselves with. Starbucks blows. Make your own coffee.

If only people realized that the reason they need coffee everyday, is because they drink coffee everyday. Starbucks is your neighborhood dope dealer, but without the glock.

What about decaff?
Ok, I guess you have a point. But drinking decaffeinated coffee is like drinking non-alcoholic beer. And who the hell does that?

You can request "fair trade coffee" and then they give money to the people who make it or something.

You guys ever heard of a hella expensive type of coffee called Kopi Luwak? It's highly coveted by connoisseurs because of it's very unique taste, which is actually present in the coffee because the coffee cherries were eaten by a weasel-like animal called a "palm civet", partially digested, then found in the resulting feces. The digestive process breaks down the proteins and takes away the bitterness. It's the most expensive coffee in the world. Yum. If I ever go to Starbucks, I might just make an occasion out of it and order me some of that weasel turd juice.

Yepp. However, technically they are saying that their prices are because of fair trade normally.

http://www.starbucks.com/aboutus/StarbucksAndFairTrade.pdf

Now, they don't really have their prices jacked up on normal coffee because of fair trade, like they will try and say they do, but still. I appreciate the effort they are giving, but they have a long way to go.

Didnt realise I had an addictive personality until I realised I was spending like £50 a week at least on cigerettes and coffee. Plus I drink tea constantly at home as well.

Dont bother with starbucks though, too expensive. Benji's ftw.
