Oh good God!!!! I couldn't believe it when I saw that pick. I had to read it twice, and even then I fixed my contact thinking that was affecting my vision. I now have seen a new worst first round Vikings pick in a mock this year.

The Patriots usually look for size on the front seven, so I don't think Liuget will really fit what they're looking for. Gabe Carimi is a possibility I suppose, although he's more of a man blocker than a zone blocker and the Patriots ask their offensive linemen to make a lot of plays in space. I'd be hoping for someone like Aldon Smith at #17 and then Stefen Wisniewski at #28. If you're dead-set on an end there (very possible they pick one), Muhammad Wilkerson or Cameron Heyward would be more likely choices. Both capable of shedding blocks and playing in a two-gap system.

Wisconsin runs a zone blocking scheme though. Here is a link to a very detailed breakdown (link (http://www.alongtheolentangy.com/2010/10/15/1751100/the-wisconsin-offense-and-the-osu-defensive-response-part-i)). Now the concerns about his ability to work in space could be valid.

Justin Houston is a great Jets pick. He fills a need and he is a great value at # 30.

Good Ravens pick, assuming Young raises his stock enough to be considered a late first round pick.

Akili Smith II to Cinti with the 4th pick. You gotta be crazy. The guy will do nothing for this club for years even if he is picked and has a future.
