I'm going to looke like a fool if this doesn't happen in the real NFL Draft because I say it in half the mocks on here, but if Kerrigan is there at 16 he will be the pick. He fills a need, the value is right, and he has exactly the right kind of motor that Gene Smith looks for. Unless a guy like Bowers, Quinn, or Peterson fall to them, Kerrigan is the guy.

I was actually torn on which to give there. I've been hearing that Kerrigan's lack of athletic ability is going to become 'vividly apparent' at the combine and its going to cause him to drop on a lot of teams boards. I tend to not agree but I decided to slip him a little bit for the time being.

I like Ponder in the second round for the skins - but not too crazy about Dareus in the first. Would much prefer Julio Jones...so that whatever Qb actually starts for us next year has some decent weapons to throw to. There are holes all over this skins team including defense....but I think that the major downside to the defense this year was the transition to 3-4. Usually a team suffers in their first year of making this transition. We should focus on filling some of those defensive holes in later rounds -but I think the defense, even as is, will be better this year, as they get more comfortable running the 3-4

Loooove the Dareus pick but the Ponder pick is not working for me at all in the early 2nd. way too big a reach. Any of the guys listed above would be much better picks.

Reverse of you love the Dareus pick even over Julio hate the Ponder pick. Although considering Heyward and Nevis are sitting there in the 2nd I'd love to get one of them in the 2nd and use the first round pick on Julio or possibly even Aldon depending on how he works out at LB.

That draft looks pretty good for New England, but I don't think Justin Houston is going to show up at 6'3" 258 at the combine (maybe 6'1" 245?) and may not be the kind of guy the Patriots are looking for. Akeem Ayers is a finesse player, but appears to be big enough and smart enough to potentially be a Patriots linebacker, so I would probably go with him there if you're dead set on the team waiting that long for a linebacker. He's also a team captain who has experience lining up in different spots, dropping into coverage, etc. Even better would be Ryan Kerrigan at #17, who looks like the type of linebacker who would thrive in New England - 6'4" 260, stout against the run, very smart, hard working, team captain, decorated career, senior, etc. He comes fomr the same school that produced Mike Vrabel, Rosevelt Colvin, and Rob Ninkovich. I don't think they pass on him for Watt at #17. Muhammad Wilkerson is a great projection into New England as a two-gap run stuffer at right end. His size is immediately projectable into New England's defense at 6'5" 305. I'd go Kerrigan - Wilkerson - Watkins - Cobb or Kerrigan - Wisniewski - Wilkerson - Cobb. You could even throw in Ryan Williams instead of Cobb if you think they'd potentially go in that direction, although I'd prefer Cobb myself.

Solid KC draft, but could have been better. I'd prefer Houston or Taylor in the first and Jerrigan or Baldwin in the second.

Nice try for SF.I love the first round but sadly I don't see them passing on Mallet if they get a chance to draft him in Round 2.And we don't then its either Ponder or Dalton there not a CB.

No way do I see us passing on a DT (Stephen Paea seems to be the front runner among Saints fans, although i think Drake Nevis deserves more consideration) for a reach of a LB like Martez Wilson. That is a huge reach. As for our second round pick goes, Wilson may stil be there as is Kelvin Sheppard, which would be much better for us (grabbing a LB that is).

Meh Browns draft. Not a big fan of Hankerson, though we do need help at wr

No way Heyward lasts til the 50th pick...ok, maybe if every gm in the league becomes a crackhead before the draft.

Hearing the Tommy John surgery he had will force him to miss most, if not all, of training camp. If that turns out to be true, there's a good chance he slides even further than 50th.

I'm jumping the gun on him a little by projecting him to blow up the combine and move into the 20s. I like his versatility and athleticism a whole lot so we'll see how the medical and off-field stuff checks out but based on potential, I think he's a mid-20s guy. I'd call Paea and Nevis both reaches at that Saints pick as well due to Paea's injury and Nevis' size.

Change the first rounder to Sherrod or Solder and this is the best 2 round mock I've seen yet. I'm just not sold on Tyron Smith as anything but a bust.

3. Buffalo Bills - Cam Newton, QB, Auburn, JR
34. Buffalo Bills - Brooks Reed, OLB, Arizona, SR
40. Dallas Cowboys - Phil Taylor, DT, Baylor, SR
46. Denver Broncos (from Miami) - Kyle Rudolph, TE, Notre Dame, JR
50. San Diego Chargers - Cameron Heyward, DE, Ohio State, SR

That would be a good Bills mock, Newton makes sense in that he would be able to sit, learn and develop, and Nix has reportedly been high on him. I like Reed a lot and he looks like he is poised to have a Koa Misi type rise in the draft, I have Taylor, Rudolph and Heyward as first round players, and Reed as a second so I like their value and need fits better, with Rudolph being the best fit IMO. Newton and Reed however would not make me vomit (Maybin....).

You're killing me with your inconsistency, brother! Mallett wasn't available in the 2nd of this Mock (taken by Vikings) however, my issue is with your complaint of them drafting a CB when you just said this in another Mock thread...

I would honestly be better off with a CB though.I'm not saying hes a bad pick at 7.I would just prefer for them to go after a young CB and build there.I feel that need is much bigger then a LB at this point.

You want them to draft a CB in round 1 but not round 2???

There is no point in taking QB if we dont do something to fix the lines first. The 2nd rounder almost HAS to be OL

I honestly do not see the Saints picking Stephen Paea as some of my fellow Saints fans on here seem to believe. The Saints would more likely look to add a NT, not a guy whose skillset is not much different from that of Sedrick Ellis.

That said, I DEFINITELY DO NOT SEE THE SAINTS TAKING MARTEZ WILSON IN THE FIRST. The pick is just lousy, and I mean that in all due respect.
