A couple rounds I just came up with...focused a little less on getting players into their projected draft ranges and instead tried to match up teams with good fits/values. A few players slide but overall I think it looks pretty good. My first mock draft with Cam Newton going #1 overall...hopefully Carolina decides to go in another direction on draft day. Give the Pats J.Houston over Wilkerson and the mock would be sex.
No need for two DE's in the first round. If you think we need added depth due to you thinking T.Warren isn't returning as his full potential then a DE later in the draft makes more sense.
Two in the 1st doesn't make sense when we have so many other needs.

I don't know if we can really count on Ty and in the past New England has drafted defensive linemen in advance (Wilfork behind Washington, Hill behind Seymour, etc.) I really like the idea of completing the defensive line overhaul. Yes, no pass rusher would suck, but I just didn't love the value at any point. I'm not sure New England would take Houston.

How does Aaron Williams go ahead of Brandon Harris?

How does Aaron Williams go ahead of Brandon Harris?

System fit. I have them with pretty similar grades, but Green Bay usually goes for taller, more physical corners. Harris measured in at 5'9" at the combine and isn't as physical at the line as Williams is. I've seen Harris lined up 15 yards off of the line of scrimmage at times.

Wouldnt mind an Edmund Gates in the second for Jake to throw to but corner is certainly a need.

Good Steelers mock...+rep

03-06-2011, 10:56 AM
your saints mock, I like it

03-06-2011, 11:09 AM
Yup I like this SF draft as well, however, I would draft WR Leonard Hankerson instead for a big time slot guy.

NO OFFENSIVE TACKLE IN RD 1!!!!!!Houston or Phil Taylor are way better options then Costanzo

03-06-2011, 11:37 AM
Cameron Jordan.... oh yeah!!!!

Ryan Mallet..... yuck!!!!

03-06-2011, 11:44 AM
great skins mock. no complaints at all if that happened.

I really don't see Taylor going to Kansas City...way too many flags for Pioli. Houston I can kind of see, but I decided to stick with the seniors/team captains MO and take Castonzo, who is really pretty much everything Pioli looks for. Keep an eye out for Derek Sherrod too, who's from the SEC, which could be the tiebreaker between him and Castonzo.

Moch is just a fast guy haha hopefully Al shys away from that type of thing but idk.

Bruce Carter
Mason Foster
Moffitt (slight reach but we need fresh legs inside)
Danny Watkins
Martez Wilson

^^ all those imo would be better picks

03-06-2011, 01:17 PM
Nice job with Denver's draft. I'm not sure they will pass on Mason Foster and Martez Wilson, though. They are two of the best LBs in a draft that is shallow at that position.

03-06-2011, 03:18 PM
Jordan was an awesome pick til we re-signed Robison, but it is still fine just because Jordan is awesome. Mallet in the second is awesome.

03-06-2011, 03:42 PM
your saints mock, I like it

And, of course, I do not like it. Well, let me amend that statement. I like the second round pick. But I do not get the hype over Stephen Paea. He gets pushed around a lot. I saw Carimi shove him to the ground with ease in the early senior bowl practices before he injured himself. I saw the same thing on tape. He's not a terrible player but I just do not see first round. The other thing is, I think he's a 3-tech more than a NT. Sed Ellis plays the 3-tech so this pick would not make too much sense to me. I would much prefer Justin Houston to fill our DE need here.

03-06-2011, 05:02 PM
Jones and Taylor would be the perfect draft to me!

03-06-2011, 05:28 PM
I like Jordan, although I think a DE in round 1 is a lot less likely with the contract Robison was re-signed to. I could see my Vikings going with Paea in that situation.

03-06-2011, 05:52 PM
I think 27 is too early for Titus at this point, but if we walked out with Titus and Kyle Rudolph, I'd still be a very happy man.

03-06-2011, 05:53 PM
If we go WR at 4, we need to go QB/OL in the 2nd.

03-06-2011, 07:07 PM
jizzum everywhere, my god would harris in the 2nd be awesome

03-06-2011, 07:25 PM
getting more weapons for Matt Ryan is always good.

03-06-2011, 09:15 PM
You gave the Ravens the wrong Smith. Give us Jimmy in the 1st instead of Torrey and it'd be a good 2 rounds for us

03-06-2011, 09:43 PM
I like Ijalana a lot. But not better than Pouncey, though I think Ijalana could play some RT, I think OG is a bigger need for the Bears. I like Casey too. Not a bad mock overall. But if that's the board I'd take Liuget 1 and Franklin 2. Second option would be Pouncey/Austin.

03-06-2011, 10:22 PM
switch out titans 2nd rounder for an end and its just right

03-06-2011, 10:40 PM
I'm not sure how I feel about Torrey for the Ravens in the first, but he brings what we need at the receiver position. Sheard is a good pick in the second.

03-07-2011, 12:36 AM
Great Mia pick

03-07-2011, 01:53 AM
I just can't get with Tyron Smith to the Lions at 13 no matter how often I see it. Maybe in a trade-down situation, but otherwise I'd want one of the DE's for better value.

03-07-2011, 02:20 PM
That's a pretty decent defensive draft for Denver
