1. Carolina :: Marcell Dareus, DL, Alabama
In the end of the day, the most secure pick at the DL position among the elite prospects is Dareus. He may not have the outstanding numbers of last years guys (Suh and McCoy) but he is disruptive, quick of the snap, and a threat for the quarterback, while still finding ways to take blockers on and still make tackles in the run game.

2. Denver :: Da’Quan Bowers, DE, Clemson
3. Buffalo :: Robert Quinn, DE, North Carolina
4. Cincinnati :: Cameron Newton, QB, Auburn
5. Arizona :: Von Miller, OLB, Texas A&M
6. Cleveland :: AJ Green, WR, Georgia
7. San Francisco :: Patrick Peterson, CB, Louisiana State
8. Tennessee :: Blaine Gabbert, QB, Missouri
9. Dallas :: JJ Watt, DE, Wisconsin
10. Washington :: Julio Jones, WR, Alabama
11. Houston :: Aldon Smith, OLB, Missouri
12. Minnesota :: Nick Fairley, DT, Auburn
13. Detroit :: Prince Amukamara, CB, Nebraska
14. *San Diego (f/ St. Louis)* :: Ryan Kerrigan, DE, Purdue
15. Miami :: Mark Ingram, RB, Alabama
16. Jacksonville :: Cameron Jordan, DE, California
17. New England (f/OAK) :: Gabe Carimi, OT, Wisconsin
18. St. Louis (f/ San Diego) :: Corey Liuget, DT, Illinois
19. New York Giants :: Tyron Smith, OT, USC
20. Tampa Bay :: Martez Wilson, LB, Illinois
21. Kansas City :: Phil Taylor, NT, Baylor
22. Indianapolis :: Anthony Castonzo, OT, Boston College
23. Philadelphia :: Jimmy Smith, CB, Colorado
24. New Orleans :: Cameron Heyward, DL, Ohio State
25. Seattle :: Jake Locker, QB, Washington
26. Baltimore :: Torrey Smith, WR, Maryland
27. Atlanta :: Nate Solder, OT, Colorado
28. New England :: Justin Houston, OLB, Georgia
29. Chicago :: Mike Pouncey, OG, Florida
30. New York Jets :: Jonathan Baldwin, WR, Pittsburgh
31. Pittsburgh :: Derek Sherrod, OT, Mississippi State
32. Green Bay :: Adrian Clayborn, DE, Iowa

I don't think Carimi is a good fit for New England's blocking scheme. It's possible because he has a lot of other attractive traits but I really think they'd take Cameron Heyward at #17. He's a great fit for our defense, a senior, a captain, and happens to also fill our biggest need. Perfect pick. If you're dead-set on OT, I'd go with Castonzo if you don't think Light will be re-signed and Solder if you think he will. I don't know about Houston, he might not be good enough in coverage for New England to draft. I wouldn't mind it though. Wisniewski or Pouncey is my guess there.

Since when does New England NEED their OLB's to be great cover guys? BB's greatest OLB was Willie McGinest and he was far and away a better pass-rusher, I could easily be wrong (in fact I probably am) but I always got the impression that New England has at least one big OLB who just gets the QB, and then more of a Vrabel type guy on the other side who can blitz and cover.

I've got Locker going to Minnesota not Seattle. See what Paul Allen gets his way.

Reminds me of an old Todd Rundgren song. "we gotta get you a woman".

Rockio, is the Rams pick ok? i wasn't sure because Spags usually doesn't need above average DT's for his scheme

Fairley is not the type of DT we need, but that is good value. I would rather have Jordan or Prince, I think. But Fairley has outstanding value at that point.

Eh, I'm personally not a big Luigit fan. I actually want Paea in the 1st round as our NT or at least a different guy at RE but I can see Luigit being in the running for a pick. Not a bad pick as the heart of the argument, but not a pick I would be happy with.

I can "accept" Heyward. He is a versatile player though I think Justin Houston might offer more in terms of upgrading our pass rushing. But Heyward is fine by me.

i dont think Houston can be a 4-3 DE, probably better with his hand off the ground

How the hell does that make any sense?
Palmer isn't playing here anyways.

Naw its not that bad. I just saw that and wanted to post it somewhere.
I'm not for a OT in the 1st few rounds though. I think our line is solid if we can resign some people. Justin Houston would be better in my opinion or a WR.
