Swing and a miss on all the Bengal picks

Two pass rushers?

Corner in the 2nd and its fine.

I'd much rather see Heyward to NE at 28 and a guy like Boling at 74. Every time Vince Wilfork lined up at DE it was a not-so-subtle reminder of the glaring need at DE.

I don't know much about the WR so I'll stay away from that pick. NE could use a big outside threat to prevent teams from clogging the middle and stuffing the passing game that way.

Overall, this would be a nice Pats draft, though.

I'd love those Vikings picks. Bowers is a great value, and Cannon is a good value plus he fills a big need.

Give the Patriots Jarvis Jenkins instead of Sione Fua or a trade up for Muhammad Wilkerson and that's a near perfect Patriots draft! Nice job...

I don't like the Bengals picks myself either. I would not touch Cam Newton in the first round. But it looks like Carson Palmer is 100% committed to never playing for Cincinnati again. If that is the case, they have to get a QB. and seeing how they can't trade for players without a CBA, they have to do it through the draft.

Sorry, I didn't realize I gave San Fran two OLBs. That will definitely have to change in the next mock.

Just because Carson is not coming back does not mean they have to reach on a QB in the 1st.

So you want Dan LeFevour or Jordan Palmer as your quarterback? That would be a mess. If I were a Bengals fan I would hate the pick too. But that doesn't mean it won't happen.

Over Cam Newton i would rather see LeFevour or Palmer Jr. Mike Brown learned his mistake of taking 1 year wonders in college after taking Akili Smith. I not saying taking a QB is out of question in the 1st but i dont see them taking a QB if they stay at 4 they could trade down and get Newton or Gabbert.

Id prefer heyward over clayborne but thats just a matter of opinion.

Overall Id love this draft though, gettin wilkerson in the second would be crazy awesome and sheppard is a fine pick. Id only prefer another olb over romeus but im fine with romeus still.

overall good job

I think Heyward is a slightly better prospect than Clayborn but I don't know how well he fits into a 4-3 defense so I went another way. As for the Romeus pick, I wasn't too sure where to put him but I wanted to get him somewhere in the third round. He was a top-15 guy before his injury so I think the third round is a good place to take the risk.

1st round is alright. Been seeing Green mocked to us a lot and the more I see it, the less I like it. WR isn't the biggest need for us as most would think. We're switching back to the 4-3 this year. We have 1 DT on our roster worth any salt and no DEs. If this draft would be more of a "IF" a new CBA is agreed upon? Then Green looks even better as we could really grab some help in FA for our D-Line.

2nd Round - Please, tell me your reasoning behind this. A G/C prospect? Really? We have Steiny at LG who just had a Pro-Bowl type season and still has many years left of high play. Mack is at Center, who is well one his way to being one of the top Centers in this league for the next 10 years, he'll garner more national recognition once our record improves. We have Lava Man at RG and Womack to battle for opening day starter.

RT is by far our weakest O-Line position and weakest overall position on O. RT makes more sense at this spot.

Pretty good choice in 3rd. DT is a need and unless FA comes about, Casey would be starting along side Rubin if 2011 season happens later rather than sooner.

Decent draft, but it wouldn't have me excited.

Wow, I never thought I could like a 3 round mock that had the Colts taking one OL that much. That said, another OL would probably be preferable to Ballard there, like maybe Hudson.

So because we dont take Newton we can't have one at all in the draft. Sound logic....

Green or Fairley would be enormously better options.
We do not need another "potential based" DE. We have 2. Only 2 play at a time.
ILB is not a need. SLB is.

You have pretty much missed all our needs outside of QB.

DT - Peko regressed big time. Atkins is good but needs a partner.
SLB - Rey is gonna kick inside it looks like.
SS - Ndukwe is crap and Roy cant stay healthy.
OG - Livings is crap. Williams is old.
QB - Palmer is gone.
DE - Would be nice but we would have to take a Mario Williams cant miss type for me to accept it. Projects/Potential based DE's are not a need.

This QB class is garbage and we would be best suited if we just dont draft one in the first round...as will every team. If we ignore one need, I hope it is QB.

17. New England- OLB Aldon Smith Missouri
28. New England Patriots- OG Mike Pouncey Florida
33. New England Patriots- OT Derek Sherrod Mississippi State
60. New England Patriots- WR Edmond Gates Abilene Christian
74. New England Patriots- DE/DT Sione Fua Stanford
92. New England Patriots- CB Davon House New Mexico St

Smith is a good pick, but give us Heyward over Pouncey and Danny Watkins over Edmund Gates. Boling over Fua would be awesome too. That would give us a draft of Aldon Smith, Cameron Heyward, Derek Sherrod, Danny Watkins, Cllint Boling, and Davon House. That would be an amazing draft.

Ingram is great, but Carpenter would be a better pick in the 3rd for the Phins.

Williams and Jenkins are bad picks for the Ravens. Neither fit in our defensive scheme. Jenkins might, but he would play the position that Ngata plays and the 5-technique opposite of him is used more like a 4-3 end. Hankerson is nice though.

I"m not sure I like CK that much as a QB but is pretty mobile and he had a combine and can throw the ball well and has good zip on it too.Overall nice draft for SF.I would almost take a QB in round instead tho if Mallet feel to us.But he won't last that long in round one.You mockers are really not high on are you.

This. OG >>>> S in terms of need plus Johnson is a reach there.

interesting that you want greg little but gave the bears tolliver instead who i cant imagine very many teams will have ranked even close to little.

jrdrylie

I really like Greg Little. But I also really like Tolliver. The reason I went with Tolliver is because everything I have heard is that he was flat out lying to coaching staffs at the combine during his interviews. Prior to the Combine I veiwed him as a 3rd round guy but I think he will drop a bit due to his dishonestly. Teams won't draft a guy they can't trust.

I'd go a step further and say it's too good to be true. Phil Taylor doesn't drop to 55 overall. In the meantime, I guess we can dream.
