dont like the saints picks all that much, they make sense positionwise but they feel reachie, mainly wilkerson as a DT (he is late first value as a 34 DEnd maybe, not as a DT)

with what is on the board:
1 Cameron Heyward
2 Christian Ballard
3a Mason Foster
3b Quan Sturdivant

First round is pretty gross. Second round is gross. I can live with the third.

In the first, give the Steelers Cannon or Watkins. In the second, give them Dowling.

Ingram is great, but I think that is a little high for Jackson. I would prefer Rackley or James Carpenter there instead. Or even one of the TE's DJ or Lance.

This is a stellar Vikings mock. That is excellent value and need at both picks. Good work.

I would rather take Green or Fairley over Bowers and then Dalton or a RB (Ryan Williams) in the 3rd.

Near perfect niner mock, replace RB with OLB pass rusher in the 3rd and it would be ideal.

Not a very good draft for the Colts. Give them this...

1st- Mike Pouncey
2nd- Titus Young
3rd- Marvin Austin

Whoops, told you there would be some stupid errors in there! Not going to re-do the entire mock, but if I was going to re-select for them in the second and third rounds I would have went with something like Sam Acho and Jurrell Casey.

Excellent 9ers draft I agree with the edge rusher instead of though.I still don't think Newton deserves to be a number one pick overall.

I can't see us taking Harris over Houston in the first. Harris doesn't fit what the team is looking for while there's been multiple reports about the Ravens wanting to add a pass-rusher across from Suggs.

Bailey is a good pick in the second, I like the value there.

Gilbert is a good pick in the third assuming Gaither is gone. The only thing I really don't like is not addressing receiver, which once again would be a big mistake. I'd rather have Gates over Gilbert in the third regardless of what happens with Gaither, but it's still not a bad pick.

Eh, so-so Chiefs draft if I'm being honest. Not high on Ayers at all.. even though he'd be viewed as a reach, Phil Taylor would be MUCH better there.

Titus in the second is solid, and with Taylor that makes almost anyone over Ellis in the third a better pick.

would like to hear why you think leshoure makes sense for the skins in the early 2nd round considering the number of needs we have and lack of picks. he doesn't at all seem like the type of back that would make a good compliment too Torrain who Shanahan and company have voiced as being confident in going forward. Shanahan drafted Torrain in Denver, brought him to Washington, and gave him the nod as soon as possible.

Kyle Shanahan recently said the team needs to add more running backs to the roster to help with the workload, and Ryan Torain was knicked up a lot last year. Combine that with the fact that he has only played two games prior to this season in the two years he's been in the NFL and the season-ending injury he suffered senior season and I'm not sure I'd be confident in his ability to stay healthy. Every team needs two rushing options at this point and LeShoure projects as a good fit and value into Shanahan's offense. He also looks like the best player available at that spot.

No, Shanahan said that Torain needs to be helped in the backfield. He also talked up Keiland Williams in the same article and spoke very highly of his blocking and protection ability as well as his improved consistency down the stretch. I'm not saying the Skins won't add a rb but I'm just not sure I see LeShoure as the type of complimentary back that makes sense. I think a quicker back with big play ability later in the draft like DaRell Scott, Jacquizz Rodgers, Derrick Locke, Brandon Saine, etc makes more sense.

ILB is the last position (other than QB) that the Packers need, so using a 1st rounder on that position makes no sense at all, especially considering the 2 top guys just got new contracts and are young enough that they have long futures ahead with the Pack (Hawk & Bishop).

They have 4 guys who are starter-worthy at ILB in Hawk, Bishop, Barnett, and Chillar.

I love the rest of the mock though, just cross off ILB as a pick higher than day 3 for this team.

Bad 1st round Chiefs pick. Ayers is iffy value, and his character issues are a big red flag for KC. Phil taylor has become the stock pick for a reason. If he is gone, Peae is a suitable 2nd choice. Rush backer is a suitable fallback, but Ayers is disqualified on other grounds.

Kenrick Ellis is a good 3rd round pick, given the lack of a NT earlier, but Titus Young is a reach in round 2. Cobb is still on the board. A list of OL are available. This is a much better place to get a rush backer.

Generally, you have some head scratching sliders. Phil Taylor in the 2nd round? Peae in the 40s? Kaepernick in the 3rd round?

Great first round Phins pick. Jackson is the right position although I consider him a major reach there and would go with Rackley personally.

Martez is commonly listed as an ILB but if you watch what he did in college, he was mostly rushing the quarterback and covering some tight ends. His style of play might translate into more of a 3-4 OLB at the next level, whereas he might not really be instinctive enough to play inside, so there is some versatility there. I'm sure if you look up some of his highlight videos you'll see him rushing the passer a lot.

What character issues? Ayers was a team captain and seems very well-spoken in interviews. He has extensive experience in coverage and holds up pretty well in the run game as well. It's Taylor's character that's the issue. This guy was arrested, kicked off of the Penn State team, then battled serious weight and conditioning issues after transferring. Does that sound like someone Pioli would target? We already knew well before the Senior Bowl that this guy had the talent to be a starter in the NFL, the question is what kind of person is he and how much does he want it? Teams are going to have to answer the very difficult question of how money is going to affect this guy. I have some serious concerns that he is busting his ass right now in order to get paid and might not give that same effort with a few million dollars in the bank. This guy is hands down the prospect most likely to eat his way out of the NFL. When you consider the draft history of Pioli dating back to his time with Belichick, that looks like a gamble for another team.

Paea slips because outside of New Orleans it doesn't look very likely that another first round team will target him. He's not a can't miss prospect and he's coming off of a knee injury so I could definitely see the slide. He doesn't have the anchor that people seem to think he does - watch him play and he's on the ground way too much. I could see Kaepernick going a little higher but he's a long way from contributing in the NFL.

If the Colts are going to draft a OG in Round 2 (which is what Boling is at the next level IMO), they'd be better off drafting either of the two OGs you have going after their pick in Round 2.

I am not the biggest fan of OT to the Chargers because I believe they need to focus on the front 7 early, but it is hard to argue the value of Smith there. Especially considering the players off the board. I personally would prefer Wilkerson or even Liuget though.

Baldwin is a great fit, but do his character issues cause them to pass cause I could see it giving AJ pause? I think OLB and DE is still more pressing than WR and would prefer Reed, Ballard or Sheard.

Carter is another good fit for the team and I like the pick.

I like Sash, but doubt they draft a s because they have Stuckey behind Weddle and Sanders.

The Austin pick is the one I have the hardest time seeing. The Chargers time and again refrain from bad character guys and he seems like the poster boy for those types.
