I like the Aldon Smith, Cameron Heyward, and Jordan Todman picks. Gabe Carimi is an inline blocker and the Patriots use a zone blocking scheme. I'd go with Mike Pouncey there - he comes from a program Belichick likes to draft from and addresses a bigger need. At #74, Vincent Brown is a huge reach after running a 4.7. The Patriots already have two developmental receivers in Brandon Tate and Taylor Price, plus a handful of other options, so I doubt they draft someone too early unless the value is outstanding. New England has Jerod Mayo and Brandon Spikes as the starting inside linebackers, and Casey Matthews isn't a fit anyways. I'd go with Danny Watkins and Ahmad Black in the third round.

Wow, that is one damn sexy Phins draft!

The only pick I like for SF is Dowling in the second.Other are just plain awful and ugly. You hit needs but wrong players specially on Gabbert.JH won't believe the hype!!

That is quite the reach on Castanzo. Baldwin is nice though.

I think if you reverse the Colts and Ravens first rounders, your mock would look a lot better.

Horrible 2nd round pick with all the good talent still on the board. You keep giving us Kirkpatrick in every mock who is a 4th/5th rounder. Ijalana, Dowling, Burton, Austin, Brown, and Young are all better picks.

Can't imagine the Vikings passing on Cam Newton, especially not for Castonzo.

Obvious you never change your Bengals pick because the 2nd and 3rd rounds pick are just horrible and obvious you don't realize what schemes they run or what they need.

giants cant afford not to take a linebacker in the first 3 rounds imo

Not a fan of the Bears draft. I do like Paea, but Kirkpatrick is a reach as it's extremely rare for a player NOT invited to the combine to go in the first 2 rounds. I think he'd easily be there in the 3rd. Herzlich doesn't fit what the Bears do defensively. Cover 2 LBs need to be able to run. Herzlich cannot. I also don't know if he can play SLB in the 4-3 and cover TEs.

Leshoure and burton, really???

Saints need neither position and both are even somewhat of a reach.

Make the first rounder heyward and the first third rounder someone like moch or kj wright

you never give writes ups for your mocks and you continuously give the redskins a qb in the 2nd round yet you never respond to my arguments against those picks...

Cameron Heyward WAY OVER Mikel Leshoure. Unless Ingram falls to us, I do not see the Saints considering a RB in the first round.

Phil Taylor is a very great pick in the second round.

Brandon Burton? How about Danny Watkins. The Saints have taken an offensive lineman in every draft since Payton came on board with the exception of one. They might consider Watkins good value. I could also see someone like Dontay Moch.

Bruce Carter is a great pick and solid value.

I have responded - earlier on a prior mock to you - I disagree even though you bring up good point about the success rates of 2nd round QB - I still believe the skins need to take a QB in the second round....I do not believe McNabb will be in DC this year - and I firmly believe the skins need to go into the season with more than Grossman and Beck at the position. They might address it FA - but because of the CBA - that will probably happen after the draft and if they trade for someone after the draft - the QB that we pick in the second - or any of the other two - might be packaged in a deal for say someone Carson Palmer. just because I did not agree with your advice - as well argued as it was - does not mean that I did not listen - or in this case responded to this question on an earlier mock

Just an observation.. No way NE takes Brown because he ran a 4.7, yet you insist on Ahmad Black, whom also ran a 4.7.

Wow, that is one damn sexy Phins draft!

Really? Newton is overhyped and Rodgers is undersized and won't hold up to an NFL workload. I'm not happy with the Dolphin picks at all.

81) Oakland Raiders – Austin Pettis, WR Boise State

Too slow, and I don't think more youth at the team's youngest position is going to do them much good anyway.

With Watkins, Cannon, Austin, and those TEs still on the board...gotta go with one of them, imo.

I'd prefer the Bears wait between 2-4 rounds for Kirkpatrick and Herzlich.

Pssst..don't tell anyone I said this, but, I'd really like that draft for Chicago...

But only because I like those players, not exactly where you have us picking them. Today, my ideal Bears draft has 1. Carimi/Pouncey/Sherrod(maybe) 2. Nevis 3. Herzlich 4. Kirkpatrick but honestly, Id be happy with yours.

Props for your originality. I happen to like these 3 rounds and it wouldn't shock me to pan out similarly.

Our biggest needs are NT, OLB, C and WR. We only address one of them. Meh KC mock.

Assuming we dont have Gaither, thats a pretty good mock for the Ravens
