change the first rounder to heyward and the second rounder to austin and you have a saints draft I like LOT.

Im just not the biggest fan yet of wilkerson as a first rounder for any other purpose than 5tech and I think todman is just a bad pick, he is the kind of rb the saints could draft in the third if he is a steal at that point but its a reach and there is good value at positions of need

03-30-2011, 12:51 AM
Great Bears draft and all, and Kirkpatricks cool but... A. Bears take Aaron Willims there, no doubt and B. Wait, wth is he doing there in the first place?

03-30-2011, 01:05 AM
LOVE LOVE LOVE Cammy Cam to the Phins, but I'm not a big fan of Jernigan. Would prefer Gates or D.J. Williams there instead.

03-30-2011, 01:25 AM
As good of a value as Fairley is, he makes little sense for the Vikings with us having an elite UT in Kevin Williams. Fairley cannot play the role of NT.

first rounder is good but then it takes a bomb

with Talib's new founded trouble, Curtis Brown in the second

then a S in the 3rd in no good...need a LB or even another DE, possibly a RB. It may seem too soon for Mario Harvey here, but I love the kid

Heyward, Acho and Ijalana make it an ok mock for the Pats. Im not that high on Castonzo, especially at 17, but it is also a pick that could happen.

I hate Leshoure's value at 33. He wouldn't fit what the Pats are looking for. The have Green-Ellis to be the downhill runner in the offense and need another complimentary back. Demarco Murray at the end of the 3rd would be way better IMO. Take Murray instead of Pettis there. Pettis is a red zone threat and the Pats already have options there. If they go WR what they need is someone who can beat man coverage on the outside and open up the underneath stuff.

Ideally I would take either Ayers or Reed at 33 and Aaron Williams at the end of the second.

I would be content with a draft of

Anthony Castonzo
Cameron Heyward
Akeem Ayers
Aaron Williams
Ben Ijalana
Demarco Murray

To save some typing I'm just copy/pasting my reply from a different mock:

For Denver in the 2nd round, I don't like Rudolph as the first selection... not when Wilson, Williams, Moore and Paea are all still on the board. If they are all gone then we could conceivably take him with the second pick at 46, but TE just really isn't a priority for us. It's more of a nice to have whereas so many other positions are dire necessities.

i love kerrigan but id sure as hell love to trade down and grab him a few picks later.

03-30-2011, 07:53 AM
solid KC draft

03-30-2011, 07:53 AM
Mallet is an awful fit in the west coast offense.

If they want a QB in round 2, Ponder is their guy.

03-30-2011, 08:15 AM
1st Round:

3. Buffalo Bills – Von Miller, OLB Texas A&M
7. San Francisco 49ers – Blaine Gabbert, QB Missouri
15. Miami Dolphins – Cam Newton, QB Auburn
34. Buffalo Bills – Christian Ballard, DE Iowa
68. Buffalo Bills – Kelvin Sheppard, ILB LSU

With Dareus and Peterson off the board, and not believing either Gabbert or Newton are franchise QB's (which I would trust in Nix and Gailey), Miller becomes the best value (yeah I said it, I know, I know...). I like Ballard in the second rotating at the 5 tech with Carrington, but I am starting to shift my thinking that he is more of a pure 4-3 DT... Sheppard in the 3rd is perfect, he fits what they say they want on the inside... All in all it would be an acceptable Bills draft IMO, although I still think they dont go OLB in round one... On paper its a great draft.
Quick side note; The Bills are bringing in Ponder for a visit, although I have not been high on him, he is the only QB I could see them drafting in the second round if they do not take one in the first...

03-30-2011, 08:28 AM
I think that's almost worst case scenario for the Rams in terms of how the top 13 picks pan out. It really forces our hand on Luiget and I expect us to try to move down if that's the way it really does eventuate.

Considering, I think you've done a really good job. Torrey Smith is a nice pick, and Williams is also a good'un. Seeing the best WR's and DE's fall before our first pick and then seeing Sheard and Moore fall just before us in the second and third is absolutely heartbreaking.

03-30-2011, 08:31 AM
that is a pretty bad Falcons draft. Not gonna lie.

03-30-2011, 08:36 AM
fed why man why???????I don't WANT Alex Smith all over again!!!!!!!See my sig.

03-30-2011, 10:44 AM
i love kerrigan but id sure as hell love to trade down and grab him a few picks later.

I think, and hope, the skins do trade down in real life....I just don't do trades in my mocks

03-30-2011, 10:49 AM
OL/OL for Oakland will almost always get you a smiley face sticker.

03-30-2011, 10:58 AM
I would be content with a draft of

Anthony Castonzo
Cameron Heyward
Akeem Ayers
Aaron Williams
Ben Ijalana
Demarco Murray

I agree with this except I personally don't like A.Ayers in the Pats 34D
I'd take B.Reed or J.Sheard over him.
Other than that... I'd be cool with it

03-30-2011, 11:27 AM
I cannot see the Bengals letting Rahim Moore get past them in the 3rd round especially if they are going to draft a career backup instead.

03-30-2011, 12:09 PM
Titans do not need a CB in the 2nd round. I'd rather have Stefan Wisniewski instead

03-30-2011, 12:39 PM
Jordan Todman would be a reach of incredible proportions for the Saints. Cam Heyward in the first though I could live with Wilkerson. In the second, Bruce Carter. Third, Kenrick Ellis and Greg Romeus.

03-30-2011, 06:20 PM
Change Carimi to Jimmy Smith and you've got a very good Ravens mock.

A RT can be found later in the draft (if we even need one, Gaither is still a possibility to be re-signed/is a RFA if a CBA isnt agreed)

03-30-2011, 07:30 PM
Improved but you still came up short. We won't take Rudolph unless he slips to 46 and even then I doubt it would happen. Skipping over guys like Ayers / Taylor / Paea / Foster for a TE that will be used predominantly as a blocker in Fox's system just doesn't make sense.

03-31-2011, 12:07 AM
fed why man why???????I don't WANT Alex Smith all over again!!!!!!!See my sig.

your sig says gabbert is not a top ten pick - and in your mock you have sf taking locker - and i feel locker is not a top ten pick and it drives me nuts when people mock him to the skins....to each his own i guess

but you use to tell me how i kept forgetting to address san francisco's qb need....well at least now I am giving them a qb

03-31-2011, 12:21 AM
Titans do not need a CB in the 2nd round. I'd rather have Stefan Wisniewski instead
Agree with CB is not a second round need
