(Every year on a Jets forum, the draft regulars on the website get assigned 1 or 2 teams and are assigned teams to draft and pick from. Draft was just finished so this might be a good read for all I suppose. No trades and the draft order might be a little funky in round 6 but besides that, this was what was done)

I was surprised at how far Taylor fell since he might be a top 25 pick at this point.

I ugh'd at Costanzo over Taylor.. rest of the picks are ok, I guess.

Not a fan of the Bears draft. While I understand the logic, I dislike the execution. Baldwin's not a first round pick. Boling I personally don't like, but it is a logical pick that I hope doesn't happen. O'Dowd I don't like either, and would take Moffitt before him, but again the pick makes some sense. No DT in the draft is probably a mistake. The Bears really love Terrell McClain and have shown interest in Nevis and Austin among others. Bears will draft DT in the first 3 rounds most likely.

Costanzo has a pretty high grade though...but I guess the OT need isn't really all that big?

I'd go

1st: Jimmy Smith
2nd: Austin
3rd: Moffit

The rest whatever

If it fell this way, and Miami took Smith at 15, i dunno how I would feel. he is top 10 caliber, no doubt, and I would be surprised if the lions let him slip past, but if he did fall to us I would be ho-hum. Not a shocker due to his talent, but more surprised if he fell that far.

The rest of the pics for Miami - Hunter is fine as is Kendricks, but I would prefer Devlin or Stanzi at 5. Powell is a great pick as is moore - he wont last that long, but anyways....

Overall a solid effort.

Meh Phins draft. Everything after the first round is solid but we don't have a need at OT, our OL need is the interior as we have one of the better OT tandems in the league...

I LOVE Jaiquawn Jarrett so I wouldn't be too upset if we drafted him but we also don't have a need at S.

7) San Francisco 49ers - Prince Amukamara, CB, Nebraska
45) San Francisco 49ers - Andy Dalton, QB, TCU
76) San Francisco 49ers - Allen Bailey, DL, Miami
108) San Francisco 49ers - DeMarco Murray, RB, Oklahoma
115) San Francisco 49ers - Greg Salas, WR, Hawaii
141) San Francisco 49ers - Jerrard Tarrant, S, Georgia Tech
174) San Francisco 49ers - Greg Lloyd JR, LB, UConn
190) San Francisco 49ers - Byron Bell, OT, New Mexico
211) San Francisco 49ers - Nick Bellore, ILB, Central Michigan
233) San Francisco 49ers (from NYJ thru Detroit) - Jonathan Freeney, DE/OLB, Rutgers
241) San Francisco 49ers - (comp) - Konrad Reuland, TE, Stanford
252) San Francisco 49ers -(comp) - DeJon Gomes, Safety, Nebraska

Without picking apart all of the selections...

Do you foresee Allen Bailey as an OLB? Neither he or Lloyd seem to translate well at all to 3-4 OLB and I don't believe there's any chance at all that they would wait until the end of the draft (Freeney) to select one.

This fact makes them passing on Miller for Amukamara stand out even more.

Thanks. The Lions were actually 1 of my 2 assigned teams(Bills being the other)

To gouldo, I am not a huge Smith fan so I went with the better value pick in Jordan and wanted to bolster up that outstanding D-Line and turn it into a menacing one. I was considering Smith or Jordan with the Lions pick though.

Nice mock for the Lions.. hit our needs pretty good.

I don't actually like any of Denver's picks in the first 3 rounds. If Dareus goes first overall I would much rather have Peterson to Fairley.

In round 2 (36), I can't imagine leaving Paea on the board no matter who our 1st round selection is, even if it is Fairley, but especially if it is Peterson. We need at least 2 DT's in this draft since we only have one on our roster... and since they will most likely both be day 1 starters they had probably both better come early. At their third pick (46) this is probably the absolute earliest they could take an offensive player, but we still need help in the front 7, so I'd so much rather have Sturdivant.

In round 3, you still have Nevis and Bailey on the board, there's no way they get passed over for a running back.

I would rather take Locker over Dalton in round two!Other then a descent mock for SF.Also like the Murrey pick at RB he is going be a stud there.Would of been nice to get a FB too.

The chances that Denver takes two offensive players in their first four picks is minuscule at best.

Definitely don't see the Niners passing on Von Miller unless it's for Patrick Peterson. Those two guys have to be atop their draft board in some order.

Muhammad Wilkerson is another DT/DE and not really a full out pass rusher like were looking for....so I don't really see this for us

Pretty bad Titans mock.

You have us passing on Von Miller for Gabbert... that's bad. Titans need HUGE help on defense and LB is one of our needs. Von would be a perfect SAM LB in the Titans 4-3. He's too good to pass up. Especially with all the 2nd round QB talent. So Von in #1. Mallett/Ponder in #2. Phil Taylor is more of a pure NT IMO, not a great fit for the Titans, but we'd need a QB over him. I'm alright with the rest of our picks.

17) New England Patriots (from Raiders) - JJ Watt, DE, Wisconsin

28) New England Patriots - Brooks Reed, DE/OLB, Arizona

33) New England Patriots - Mikel Leshoure, RB, Illinois

60) New England Patriots - Rodney Hudson, C/OG, Florida State

74) New England Patriots (from MIN) - Johnny Patrick, CB, Louisville

92) New England Patriots - Marcus Gilbert, OT, Florida

125) New England Patriots - Austin Pettis, WR, Boise St

159) New England Patriots - Jeron Johnson, S, Boise St

193) New England Patriots - Ugo Chinasa, DE/OLB, Oklahoma State

I'm not sold on the value of Reed & Leshoure at 28 / 33, but this is still an awesome haul for the Pats.

Give Ricky Stanzi to Miami in the 5th instead of Jarrett, since we have no need for a safety, and it would be a TERRIFIC Phins draft!

Reasonable Ravens draft but it doesnt address the pass rush which is our biggest need.

I'd like it better if we got Houston in the 1st, Gilbert in the 3rd, Fusco instead of Marecic in the 5th and Gabe Miller or Hynoski instead of Cortez Allen in the 7th

JJ Watt would be tremendous. Brooks Reed...not as much. I'd take Cameron Heyward to give the Patriots two bookends at DE. Watt - Wilfork - Heyward would be ridiculous. Leshoure...sensing a high bust rate. It's unlikely but possible that they draft him there. I'd go Watkins. Hudson is good regardless of whether or not you go with Watkins, but I'd recommend Boling in either situation. Patrick has character issues. Maybe Allen Bailey there for a sleeper. I've heard way too many negative things about Gilbert's character and I don't think Urban Meyer will recommend him to BB. Moffitt would be good there, or Marcus Gilchrist. Pettis is good. I like Jeron Johnson as well but Andrew Jackson might be better there. Chinasa is decent, I'd take someone like Dwayne Harris there as a value pick.
