After a LONG layoff from "mock drafting", I have returned with this updated version of my 3-Round NFL Mock Draft. I will now be updating this more frequently leading up to the draft. As a matter of fact, I have decided I will adding a round or two each week leading up to the draft leading up to my first official SEVEN-Rounder of the offseason. So look for that in the coming weeks, as well as my final positional rankings. Well, that is all. Constructive criticism is always welcomed. Enjoy everyone! http://www.draftcountdown.com/forum/images/icons/icon7.gif

Good job for St. Lou!

I think Baldwin will be passed over for somebody like Young for character reasons given Spagnuolo's adherence to the 4 Pillars.

Great KC mock. Taylor in the first and snagging Wis in the third (which I don't actually see happening) are great picks.

Give the Bengals Watkins in the 2nd and it is a perfect Bengals draft. OL is the biggest need for the Bengals.

Good Niners draft... I think if all those QBs are flying off the board at the top of the second, SF looks to trade up and grab one, but if you're not doing trades, then Stanzi in the third is probably the best consolation prize you can provide.

I could live with Castonzo but they will take a long look at Bowers. Carter/House is solid but I'd rather have Aaron Williams/Mason Foster. That is just my personal preference though. There has been a lot of recent talk about Aaron Williams at safety so I'm not sure.

I would truly hate that mock, can't see us passing PP, he and Von are the only players who we have brought in for visits & if we did Jimmy Smith would most certainly be the pick in the 2nd.

but if the board fell like this i would prefer

1. PP
2. Sheard
3. Franklin

I love the first two rounds for the Patriots but not a fan at all of the third. Wisniewski is a much better value tha O'Dowd and can play multiple positions in the interior. I also think it's too early for Van Dyke and taking a gamble on Greg Little at the end of the third would be worth it IMO.

not sure the skins can afford to take back to back skill positions without a trade down. aj green in the first is awesome but if that happens i think they need to trade down in the second round if they are targetting williams to pick up another pick to use in the trenches.

I've been hearing a lot of talking about Marvin Austin slipping back into the first round. And with Corey Liuget off the board, I could definitely see the Bears taking him. However, Chicago picks 29th and the Jets pick 30th, you have it switched.

While Bailey is great value at the end of round two, I would hate the pick. There are four or five other positions that are bigger needs. Marcus Cannon, Rodney Hudson, or Curtis Brown would all be better picks, though it would not surprise me if Angelo decided to draft a DE early.

Barksdale is fine in the third round. I'd hate to pass on Greg Little there, but Chicago has to bring in some offensive line help.

48. Oakland Raiders - Danny Watkins, Offensive Guard, Baylor

Works. Could be an upgrade over Gallery.

81. Oakland Raiders - Edmund Gates, Wide Receiver, Abilene Christian

Holy crap, would that suck. Especially with Ijalana and Lil Wiz still on the board.

That would be a nice haul for the Pack.

Could the Jags get this in writing? Maybe sign something....I would love to see what you would take for us with our two 4th round picks

7. San Francisco 49ers - Patrick Peterson, Cornerback, Louisiana State
45. San Francisco 49ers - Jabaal Sheard, Defensive End, Pittsburgh
76. San Franscisco 49ers - Ricky Stanzi, Quarterback, Iowa

Considering how the QBs came off the board, this is about as perfect a scenario that could come of it.

Not a fan of Denver's second round. Rudolph doesn't go to Denver at 36 with Paea, Moore, Bailey and Wilson all left on the board. Williams is a decent pick at 46, but I'd feel a lot better if that round consisted of Paea and Bailey or Wilson.

I agree.
I would have taken J.Smith over LeShoure, S.Wiz over Odowd and G.Little over VD

Still don't like Luiget to the Rams in the first, especilly with Da-Quan falling past #14. Bowers in the first and then still with Baldwin and McCarthy (though greg Jones would be better IMO) would make a perfect draft.

Abysmal comes to mind when looking at the Ravens picks. All three picks are reaches. Torrey Smith over Kerrigan, Houston, and Jimmy Smith is terrible in the first and Moch is just a bad reach in general. Wright isn't as bad as the first two but Marsh might be more likely since we've worked him out and he provides some size at corner while Wright doesn't. Overall it's just bad though.

hudson and sherrod are very disappointing picks for the steelers, very finesse players...no thanks, they dont fit what the steelers want on the oline

I can't begin to tell you how much I hate Ryan Mallett and how furious I would be if we picked him at 15. I might be able to live with the pick if we traded down and got him in the 2nd but no way in hell do I want anything to do with him that high.

Daniel Thomas is decent though.

I HATE all the saints picks.

Akeem Ayers makes sense positionwise but there is a slamdunk available in Kerrigan and Im really not high on Ayers at all. Can someone explain to me how he is a first rounder please cuz to me he is a fourth rounder at best

Saints dont need a running back and certainly not one that is always injured as injureis are the only excuse for drafting a back (although a bad one). Yet again there are great options available that meet need, value and fit.

McPhee is a major reach at 3a and Foster is an awesome fit and pick

Saints dont need an OT, if you want to go OLine go interior (but just dont go OLine)

Im going to have to pile on the hate for the Ravens mock.

Torrey Smith is not worth pick 26. Moch is a 3rd rounder at best and made worse by the fact that Sam Acho is taken just 2 picks later and Wright doesnt add anything to our CB corps that the likely re-signing of Josh Wilson doesnt.

Itd be much better if it looked like this
1. Justin Houston/Jimmy Smith/Ryan Kerrigan
2. Titus Young/Leonard Hankerson
3. Curtis Marsh/Greg Little

Not crazy about the Colts draft. Id rather have it look like this...

1st- OG Mike Pouncey
2nd- CB Brandon Harris
3rd- Trade up a few spots to get OT Benjamin Ijalana

The Bears have the worst OL in the NFL and they pick 2 DLmen?

Allen Bailey would not even be a primary backup at either positions and the defensive line outside of DT [Which makes Austin] a solid pick is very good.

Carimi isn't a bad pick but with Watt, Ingram, Aldon, Pouncey, and Kerrigan left I'd be incredibly pissed. I think the others are all more likely too. Heyward is a good pick even if you went with Watt at #17. I'd take Wilkerson or Watkins at #33. Acho is a nice pick. Way too early for O'Dowd, he's all reputation. I think it's debatable whether I'd take him before round 6 or so. Wisniewski would be much better. Van Dyke doesn't really fit. I'd go with some kind of lineman. I'd be hoping for:

1. RB Mark Ingram, Alabama*
1. DE Cameron Heyward, Ohio St.
2. DE Muhammad Wilkerson, Temple*
2. LB Sam Acho, Texas
3. C Stefen Wisniewski, Penn St.
3. OT Clint Boling, Georgia

That'd be pretty much an A+ draft if you ask me.

Very sexy solid 49ers. Hit all needs and got prime time players .Specially at QB and CB of course the main pick.
