Trades:

St Louis Rams trade #14 and #78 to Dallas Cowboys for #9-The Rams go up and get Julio Jones to be Sam Bradford’s main target. The Cowboys, desperate for a trade down to get value on an OT, accept an offer from the Rams which gets them an extra third to move down 5 spots.

San Diego Chargers trade #17 and #61 to Miami for #15 and #111-The Chargers have their sights set on JJ Watt and get above both New England and Jacksonville to ensure they get him. The Dolphins don’t see great value at 15 and move down and upgrade their 4th round pick to a second round pick in the process.

Baltimore Ravens trade #26 and #90 to Kansas City to get above Philadelphia and any potential team trading with Indianapolis to get the talented Jimmy Smith. The Chiefs have their eye on NT Phil Taylor who should still be available at the end of the first.

San Francisco 49ers trade #45 and a 2012 2nd round pick to New England for #33. With a night to sleep on the prospects still available, new head coach Jim Harbaugh decides to make the move to get the QB who best fits his West Coast system. Unsurprisingly the Patriots move down in the draft and also gain another future pick.

Washington Redskins trade #41 and #144 to Cleveland for #37. The Redskins move up above Arizona to get an outside pass rusher to compliment Orakpo. The Browns, seeing a lack of value in front 7 defenders take the chance to move down and add an extra pick.

Atlanta Falcons trade #59 and #124 to Jacksonville for #49 to move up for a player they may have considered in the first round. The Jaguars decide to add the extra pick and pick a WR further into the 2nd.

I'd personally prefer S.Wisnieski over D.Watkins but either way. Not a bad two rounds for the Pats

I think Watkins has a higher upside but isn't as versatile.

Im resigned to the fact that Pats aren't going to upgrade OLB, DE, OG, WR, RB etc with premium picks this year and think they will go with safer picks who can contribute immediately

I agree on the upside notion. I would say Wiz is a safer pick though.
I think he's a ten year starter in this league. I'd love to see him penciled in at RG for us

You're crazy, I'd take Watkins over Wis any day of the week. I'd watch Watkins at 28 for us even.

Wiz > Watkins, plus isn't Watkins going to be like 27 when the season starts (if it starts)?

Can't argue with the bloodlines of Wiz.
Belichick ignored the Matthews Bloodline in 2009. He should have learned.

Nice trade for SF!I think your right though. We are gonna have to trade to make sure we get Ponder. He is gonna be one stud in our WCO that is if he makes it to round two.Solid first round pick as well!

I'd prefer Nevis > Ellis.

I have Nevis going 36th to Denver. Ideally he would be a great fit in Chicago but I think you'll need to use your first on him if you want him

Gabbert is fine in the 1st but Cannon in 2nd is not a good pick the Bengals already have a OT/OG that cant stay Heatlhy and underweight in Andre Smith. Danny Watkins would be a better pick if u go OL in the 2nd.

No complaints about the Vikings picks. Seems fairly realistic.

What I'm hearing is that the Pats are among a number of teams who believe that due to his relative inexperience Watkins is far from being ready to play in the NFL. I will be surprised if they take him.

I like Wiz but I don't really expect them to take him either.

I am much more inclined to think that even though they have a bigger need on the interior of the OL, they will take an OT early and then grab an OG (or an OT that they can move to OG) in late round 2 or even round 3 or 4.

I do like this mock for the Pats though, even with Watkins. They'll take an interior OL in there somewhere. Just a matter of which one.

Jags won't take Baldwin. He is a potential locker room issue that Gene Smith will not bring in. Nate Solder does not fit Chicago's offense. I'd be shocked if he is the pick.

Can't go wrong with either Amukamara or Quinn in that situation nice work.

the skins have too many needs and too little draft picks to trade up anywhere in this draft.....as a matter of fact they should be trading down. Give the skins Quinn in the first and then that OLB to put on the other side of Orakpo is taken care of without trading up for Reed. then I would love it if we grabbed Dalton in the second
