Here's a couple guys I'd love to get on day 2, but not all of them fit our team.

S - Daren Stone. Absolute beast, almost like an Adrian Wilson.
DE - Baraka Atkins. He's been one of my favorites since early on in his career. Ran a 4.69 at the combine at 270lbs. I think he should be a traditional SDE in the 4-3.
DE/OLB - Brian Robison. I've loved this guy for a like time too. He's white and he has a 40 inch vert. He's tough and a good guy and set UT shotput/discuss records.
ILB - Desmond Bishop. He's got an awesome name and plays with intensity. He's a dominant run stopper.
WR - Chris Davis and Jonathan Holland. Davis is scrappy and underapreciated. Holland made a beastly endzone catch this year.
OL - Kasey Studdard. Well he's from Texas and he's awesome. Plus he plays hard all the time.

I like Atkins. Robison, and Bishop also.

Another guy I like is Brian Smith from Mizzou. Also a fan of Jonathan Wade

Its all about Chris Davis, WR out of FSU!

What about Chris Henry... have not heard a lot about him since the combine...I think he would be a great 5th rd selection as a KOR man and a understudy for Willis McGhee....

Fan of Baraka Atkins as well... then again anyone from the U I am a fan of going ot the Ravens... they all seem to pan out for us...

Le'Ron McClain, FB, Alabama - could be the perfect replacement for Ovie. A big guy and all he wants to do is block. I'd be ecstatic if he was there in round 5. I wouldn't mind if we took him in the 4th, with one of our comp. picks. One of my favorite players in the draft regardless of the round they go in.

Chansi Stuckey, WR, Clemson - If he drops into the 5th or 6th round, I think we need to take a look at him. Despite running a 4.6, he got it done on the field at Clemson. He's not exactly the type of receiver that I think we need, because I think we need a late round, tall, possession guy (Dwayne Jarrett type). But he would be good value and would give us alot of different options.

David Ball, WR, New Hampshire - Everyone's favorite sleeper. He'd fit perfect with us. He's reliable, with good size and great hands, which is exactly what I think we need. He'd be a great day 2 pick.

Antonio Johnson, DT, Mississippi - By the time the draft rolls around I think Johnson will be a day 1 pick. But for now, I'll just throw him out there. No one is talking about this guy, and I've really come to like him. He's big and strong and can eat up blockers well. He'd be a great backup to Gregg and Ngata and could see significant playing time in our multiple schemes.

Isaiah Stanback, QB, University of Washington

Stanback would be a good developmental choice in Rd. 6 or 7

Yeah I know thats why I'd love to see him be picked by us, could be Trevor's eventual replacement.

Oh dear God Tubby has infiltrated our forum with all this Stansback talk! I've seen some of his performances since the season ended and I'm not convinced that he's a pro caliber QB. Besides I like Kyle and Drew Olsen as our QB's. But a guy that will be probably available on day 2 is Justin Medlock the kicker from UCLA, now he could be the successor to Stover!

yeah not a fan of stanback at all. i like drew olsen more. the QB that i would like in late day 2 is tyler palko.

Yea, I agree. Matt stover did a great job last year but he has been in the league for 17 YEARS!

LB - Ameer Ismail; a very productive sack master.. Would be a great 3-4 outside backer who can bring the heat...
QB - Matt Moore; tall lanky frame..has potential and might be worth a late pick.
WR - Jemalle Cornelius; good quick route runner. never had a chance to shine in college.
CB - Ryan Smith; great at catching for a corner. Could be a fine nickel back one day.

Looking at our greatest asset as a Team is that we have guys on both sides that can line up in multiple spots on the field and make an impact...so I think we should look at these guys..
Paul Thompson WR/QB Oklahoma - Back up to Jason White and started for Rhett Bomar when he was dismissed..would have been a starting WR for Bomar but had to move back to QB and didnt post bad numbers after not really playing QB in a few years...
Being we have some late round picks in the 6th why not spend one of them on Jeff Smardzja from Notre Dame.. our right to him would be secure and we all know baseball is never a guarantee so maybe we get a 1st rd talent in the 6th and not have to pay him for a year or 2

Baseball isn't a guarantee but his situation doesn't feel like a Drew Henson one and besides he's a pitcher that's highly touted and wants to be a baseball player so its basically a wasted pick.

As awesome as the S factor would be in the NFL, there's no way he'd ever play football now that his career in baseball is starting to take off

David Holloway also, he was very good in his MD career plus he would add very good depth in the LBs for us.

Another UMD guy who could provide late round depth on our 3-4 front is Conrad Bolston.

I know you all must think Im a MD homer, but I'm just desperate to see the Ravens draft a Terp.

ERU, I know how you feel. Go BOLSTON!

I wouldnt say his career is taking off in baseball... he is just a prospect not a starting pitcher for the Cubs...I don't think that would be a wasted pick..

NO!!!

Hollenbach I hate so much I can;t even describe it!!! I don't even consider him a Terp, he was some idiot who lucked into being on a team where his only competition was Joel Statham and Jordan Steffy!!

He is a good prospect but he is projected to go late 3rd through the 6th rd ? Not really a late round prospect...A Team like the Pats or the Ravens who have solid depth and/or great starters would draft this guy in the 4th and let him develop into a GREAT OLB...He has all the measureables you would want and he is a low risk guy cause no one expects him to make it...

A couple of people have talkd already about Yamon Figurs but you can't teach speed. A 4.30 40 is unquestionable. That doesnt always work into field speed, I think though putting him with a team that really wants to win and around players that want to build a TEAM enviorment like ours that you could improve quickly and turn potential into talent.

Figurs does have blazing speed. He torched the Longhorn secondary. A poor man's Teddy Gin.
