Just curious, how would you guys feel if we traded say a conditional 2008 pick for him?

He's the complete antithesis of Delhomme
How about we just get a guy who doesnt suck instead of going for the opposite end of the spectrum
ps He's probably better than Harrington, though a hell of a lot more expensive

I would wait until he is released, sign him to a much less expensive contract, have him sit behind Delhomme for a season and learn the offense at Davidson's side, and prepare him to start next season.

From what Ive heard he wants to go somewhere that he can start/has a chance to start, so we're after Minnesota, Oakland and Miami on the list. I'm not too upset about it, to be honest

I'd love Carr, I think he got a lot of blame for things outside his control. Given a fresh start, he could become a quality (not sensational) starter.

I personally would rather have Carr than Harrington, although Carr will probably cost more. Carr has played with less talent on offense than Harrington, yet has posted better numbers.

As would I.
Carr needs to be given a chance, let him show you what he can do in a practice. He wasn't in a position to succeed.

Carr has always been a workout warrior/practice player...he always impresses...just in the heat of the battle...he struggles at times.

Delhomme is 32 years old, we have to think in a new QB. Yes, we can wait for the next draft, but i think that Carr is a good option.

Now for the details of the contract...
edit: Two years, still no word on cost

Nice move, I think Carr could generate some excitement in the fanbase. Hopefully, this will also help inspire some better play from Jake Delhomme and our offensive line.

Carr has always been a guy I've rooted for, but distantly rooted for. I guess the best comparison I can come up with is Barry Zito. I'm a huge Zito fan, my baseball team is the Mets, yet I was glad he landed with the Giants instead of the Mets because of all this talk about him declining since his great years. Now I can root for him, but if he disappoints at least he's not killing my team at the same time.
However, Carr didn't sign a 120 million dollar contract so I'll have no problem cheering for him here. It would be real nice if we could pull another Delhomme (or better) with him, I'm just not as optomistic about it happening as some.

Im definitly rooting for him. For the first time he'll have a #1WR. He'll lack a TE, but hes safe at RB and O-Line

I like the signing and people that say Carr sucks are wrong because i guarentee peyton manning would look about the same with a o-line like carr had in houston, we could have something special here if he's ever given the chance to start, he was the #1 pick in 02 so who knows, all i'm for sure is that this signing will end up helping us for than hurting us
