Barring an injury, if both guys are healthy thru training camp and the preseason, which guy opens the season on Sept 8th defending against Brees and the Saints, along side Nick Collins?
Nobody here would vote on Atari Bigby so I am not wasting time to put him in.

Charlie Peprah. He won the job with his play and should have to be unseated by someone else to lose it.

I like Burnett but Peprah stepped up big time and earned the starting gig.

Peprah starts, but Burnett will see a lot of playing time. Right now Burnett is probably the better guy vs the pass while Peprah is better vs the run.

Peprah to be the listed starter, but they're very different players and I think both will see plenty of playing time because of it.

Facing the Saints high-octane passing offense, with Mark Ingram and Reggie Bush as threats outta the backfield, I would expect the more experienced guy to be back there, and that's Peprah.

But the team felt confident in Morgan Burnett to open the year last year at DeSean Jackson and Jeremy Maclin, so if Burnett is 100% healthy and looks good in camp, he might get the nod.

I trust Peprah more though at this point in time.

(Interesting results here vs another Packer forum I posted this poll on.
That one is 5-4 for Burnett.)

Im suprised by people going Peprah.

Burnett is a ball hawk which is something Dom Capers likes. Charlie Peprah is a good player but is not and never will be anything special. Burnett has more potential especially in a defense where he will have no pressure on him.

I think it was Dom Capers talking about Davon Houses ball skills and he said. 'the better ball skills you have the more chance you have of bringing the ball away, and the more you bring the ball away the more chance you have of
bringing the ball away' something like that.

Burnett brings more big play ability which is why i think he should start.

Peprah is solid and error free. Coaches like players like him. Burnett has far more talent, but as Kevin Greene pointed out with Ricky Elmore, Greene would rather have players that play with passion versus guys with a lot of talent and no heart. I think Burnett has both talent and heart and will unseat Peprah. Peprah will be valuable on Special Teams, but if healthy, Burnett has far more game-changing capacity.

Burnett needs to muscle-up to win me over, and he needs to show he can be durable. In the mean time, Peprah held down the fort, and he has a lot more muscle mass than Morgan does.

In time, hopefully Burnett matures and he can become a stud back there. I expect that. But not just yet.

Looks like it's gonna be Burnett now.
But he still has to last 3 weeks without getting injured.
He does look stronger now.... hope he can stay as healthy as Collins and Woodson have for us.
