Does anyone else think he would be a good guy to pick up and have battle Rex for the job?

Not going to happen.

David Carr sucks. He's a backup in this league. Imagine Carr in Chicago? Theres no way he would handle the pressure. The 2 hardest teams to play qb for is the Giants and Bears. Look at the history of both franchises, its not easy being a qb for those 2 franchises.

David Carr would only make things worse.

why does everyone think he sucks when he never got a fair chance in Houston with that horrible o-line? He put up decent stats with a below average line so imagine what he could do with a solid o-line? all he needs to do is learn the system of the offense and he has all the tool you need in a Qb.

His "oline issues" are not necessarily true. Carr's indecisiveness, inability to read defenses, and holding the ball far too long is also a big reason why he got sacked so much. Its like Drew Bledsoe. Everywhere Drew went, he had "oline" issues when in fact, that wasn't the case. It was Drew's fault, as is evident with the dramatic decrease in sacks that occured when he was benched for someone else.

Carr had a fine oline this year. He still played horribley. Watch the film, the film never lies. Ask any Houston Texan fan who's watched him play every week. David Carr is not a good player.

I don't think he sucks, but I don't think he's any better than Grossman or Griese.

Grossman has much more potential, and if you just want to consider efficiency and stats, Griese is the better quarterback in that regard.

We're fine at quarterback for this season.
