The Greastest Game i have ever attended in my life. Ever.
Winona St vs. Barton
My Friend was in the bathroom at the time, as we were about to leave, and i just decided to peak in and see Winona State Celebrate, and literally 30 seconds before it had been an 8 pt game. But then Atknison hit a 2 and it was a 6 point game. Next posession: Another Bucket: And they fouled to stop the clock, Winona missed 1 of 2 FT's then another atkinson bucket, 3 Point Game. Then the inbounds steal, was just unbelivable. He gets fouled, and 1, misses the FT. We knew Flowers was a %50 shooter, so we knew he'd make 1 shot, which he did. 2 Pt Game. Then Atkinson just charged down, flew under the rim for a beautiful reverse, which tied it with 7 seconds left. Malvik, Winona's Star Pg, then Spun up court with the ball, stepped around Atkinson, but as he cut slightly right, Bobby Buffaloe came in and poked it out and got it to Atkinson at half court.
So at this point im thinking; no time for a dunk, its impossible, just as the ball was being stolen, the announcer was counting down, now at 4. And Atkinson Tore down the court, and i was thinking, oh my god, he's going to pull up at the foul line and hit it, so he gets there with a second left, and he goes up for a lay-up.
And I was just thinking, oh my god, he doesn't know how much time there is left, he isnt going to get it off, and seriously, the ball was in his hands at .2 and almost out at .1. He hit it, and the Barton State fans rushed the floor, my friend just running out of the bathroom, frantic to know what had happened.
