Great 1st round for Carolina but I don't think they'd pass on Weddle in the 2nd. Good looking draft though.

In a no trade scenario, Detroit would talk Johnson. Kitna and Roy Williams recently threw their support to us taking CJ. And the top Lions insider has us taking CJ if we are stuck at 2.
Detroit is gonna trade down, I am 95% sure of it, but CJ would be our pick at 2.
I like the Packers pick's. They adress our 2 biggest needs on offense.

at first i was against us taking Johnsen..but he's going to be an amazing player. I wouldnt be mad if we took him. Move Furrey to the slot where hes most effective and put Williams at the number 1 and Johnson at number 2...Thats a great WR trio.

great raider picks
There's a little part of me that wants us to get stuck at #2 so we take Calvin Johnson.. I mostly want to trade down for Patrick Willis, but man, I'd love to see CJ in a Lions uniform for the next 10+ years.

Hate the hall pick, Harris has no business in the NFL, especially with the Dolphins offense.... Zach Miller is a great pick in the second though.

Dallas conducted a private workout with Dwayne Jarrett. There is interest. By the time USC hold's their pro day, DJ will climb back up the mock drafts.

Guys, why did you pick Chris Houston for the Pats instead of Michael Griffin?

Atlanta would probaly go with Peterson>Anderson. But even if you are right and they don't, it is still a fantastic mock for us.

Very good first round pick for the Eagles. Ehh on the second though. We do need a LB, but I don't think Bradley fits our defense all that well. The Eagles would probably pick a DE, CB, or another LB, or maybe even Brian Leonard with this pick.

A lot of interesting picks in there. Detroit's is excellent, I just don't think Millen has the cajones. The first looks good for Houston, Carolina, and NYG. Atlanta's second is huge.

We obviously had much debate here, but it came down to the fact that you lost Kerney, and didn't lose a RB. It could go either way. In a no-trade mock, Peterson just has to fall, IMO. But there is no way in real life he falls to ten.

Give the Bucs Rouse over Hill
I thought about doing so, but Hill is rated higher on my board, and you guys could use a receiver. Hill is likely going to go earlier than he does in our mock here.

Leonard was off the board. And there weren't many Linebackers to choose from. Bradley is probably the highest rated one left at this point.
I suppose we could have given you a DE instead, but I think Bradley was better value than any of the DE's remaining.

Guys, why did you pick Chris Houston for the Pats instead of Michael Griffin?
It's a toss up really. I have given Griffin to the Pats in several mocks I've drawn up. I just think that Houston is the better value and there is still no certainty that Asante Samuel will be a Patriot beyond this season, so CB is a need.
It could go either way.

Not really sure what you mean by this . . .
And who would you prefer in round one? Branch? His stock is slipping a bit . . . Levi Brown? His stock is slipping too . . . Hall is a great player.

Very, very nice mock. Detroit's 1st pick will obviously be a battle between Martz and Marinelli. It will be cery interesting to see who wins out.
IMO, you have Carriker too high but it is possible your right.
I'm pretty sure that Revis has passed Hall as the #1 CB after his pro day, so I'd switch them.
If Green Bay wanted Moss, then Ginn will never get past them. Favre would drool at the prospect of a WR with his big play potential.
Poz is moving up rapidly after his pro day and it wouldn't suprise me if he's now the 1st LB off the boards. He looks to be completely back to his 2005 form.
If Jarrett can run a 4.55 or faster, he will likely go a lot higher than this. That's still a question mark.
Finally, while I'd love to get Spencer in round 2, I seriously doubt he gets out of round 1.

I like the first two picks, but Harris is not a 2nd round player or even first day guy, and is a terrible fit in our offense. James Marten or Drew Stanton would be better picks.

- It's strange for Detroit because we sort of have two head coaches.
- Carriker may be too high, but with Branch slipping a bit, I can see Carriker being the beneficiary, and Washington is going to take a D-Lineman at 6.
- Hall - Revis is a toss up, IMO. Hall has done nothing to make us believe that he shouldn't be the #1 CB taken. He ran well and that was the only concern people had with him. It's a matter of personal preference.
- You say Favre would drool over a big-play receiver? Wouldn't he be just as happy (or happier) to have his reliable TE back (the one he hasn't had since Mark Chmura)? Until Ginn proves he's healthy and runs, Olsen is the pick, IMO. I think Ginn's poor route running would quickly irritate Favre.
- Pos could go higher. You're right
- This mock is based off what has happened thus far. I am still hesitant to put Jarrett too high.
- As for Spencer to Detroit, I think he probably goes round one as well. We originally had him going #29 to Baltimore, but figured Jarrett would be better.

We thought about Stanton. I don't like Harris either, but he is one of the few tackles in the draft that could play LT in the pro's.

Not really sure what you mean by this . . .
And who would you prefer in round one? Branch? His stock is slipping a bit . . . Levi Brown? His stock is slipping too . . . Hall is a great player.
What I mean is that Ryan Harris is a complete underachiever. He could be great if he wanted, I just don't believe he wants to. He was overhyped this season and was truly outplayed by everyone on his own line, and that includes the TRUE freshman tackle Sam Young (A former teammate and friend of mine, by the way). He doesn't have the desire or tenacity to be a good player in the league and just won't last very long, IMO.
I wouldn't rather have Branch, I've stated this before, Teddy Ginn would be the better pick to add a spark to our dull offense and with Cameron being an offensive guy, I don't see him passing Ginn up. Levi Brown would be better as well because we are thin on the oline and almost non-existant at OT.
I would also love Landry is he was available, and if we had to take a corner, I would want Chris Houston, who, by the way, will be long gone by the time the Pats pick. He is the most complete corner in this draft, IMO, and will be a better pro than Hall I believe.

Just noticed this comment, if ATL doesn't pick Peterson there, like you have, even though they most likely will, we would most likely trade down like you have mentioned. But as I can see, this is a no trade mock, so I can understand. We would probably trade down to #12 with the Bills so they could move ahead of the Texans, while we have a chance at scoring either, Anderson, Chris Houston, or Levi Brown.

With Spikes likely on his way out, we desperately need help with the LB. Therefore, I'd want to take a first-round talent such as Patrick Willis. In the 2nd, I'd want to take Antonio Pittman

I dont mind us taking a WR in the first but if it comes down to Dwayne Jarret or Dwayne Bowe im pretty sure the ravens will take Bowe but i think some1 like Anthony Spencer,Ryan Kalil, Tony Ugoh, and Ben Grubbs could fill a bigger need. I like the second round pick and overall i'd give the ravens mock a low B high C.

Saints
Rd. 1) Bad, bad, and can it get worse? I think so. mccauley is a 2nd round CB. Give the Saints Bowe, Jarrett, or Grubbs in that order.
Rd. 2) What? jason Hill goes to Washington State and you put him twice. I think you meant Craig Davis. Anywho since you should have given us an offensive player in round one because of who was left on the board give us Ikaika Alama-Francis, Ryan Harris, or Sabby Piscitelli in that order.

Branch over Hall is a consideration, though Branch's stock has slipped a bit, while Hall has answered his only concern when he ran a better than expected and adequete 40 time.
Some people hate the Harris pick, but he was the best OT left arguably.
And since you guys released McMichael, I have no idea who is gonna play TE for you guys. You could do a lot worse than Miller with that pick.

The repeat of Hill was a typo. We had meant to have Craig Davis go to the Saints (hence the wrong college listed). And that is a good pick, IMO. He is definatly worth that high of a selection.
The Saints biggest need is CB. Most Saints fans and experts will tell you that. McCauley is borderline 1st-2nd round value, but he is the best CB remaining at that point, and with several CB's being taken just beforehand, they know they won't get a quality one at the end of round 2. WR is deeper than CB this year. Gotta take that into consideration.
