Huge week for a lot of players. A lot of do or die situations as far as roster spots are concerned.

But as always, let's stay healthy.

@TBO_Buccaneers:
Bucs CB Aqib Talib missed the first 3 preseason games & won’t be playing tonight in DC. Not the way to prepare for Calvin Johnson.

Make sure to start Megatron week 1.

Two guys I'm interested to see who should both start and play well after the usual starters have gone: Torell Troup and Marcus Easley. Easley is pushing for the wide open #2 WR spot and looked pretty good last week. Troup is stuck behind our best player at nose tackle, but has looked good and can be a great backup to rotate in. I feel like him and Carrington, both high picks from last year, and really going to be a big help to what's shaping up as a fantastic defensive line.

bucfan12
09-01-2011, 04:09 PM
Make sure to start Megatron week 1.

Injury is no where near serious. It's the coaching staff holding him out as a pre-caution for the regular season. If any of these games actually counted, Talib would have definately played in them.

Anyways, week 4 in pre-season usually means teams just evaluate there depth to see who makes the roster. Starters might get a series or 2.

I just have to make a shout out for an UDFA...

DeMarcus freakin' Dobbs has looked like an absolute animal the last 3 games. He is just destroying the guys in front of him.

That L Miller guy is looking pretty good also?

He had an exceptional camp, but it didnt translate to the field. He was passed on the depth chart by Phillip Tanner, who has looked great. Miller was supposed to be the guy who pushed Choice off the roster, but he didnt do anything in the preseason. I gave him the benefit of the doubt at first, due to piss poor run blocking, but even with the holes, he hasnt done much. He has 4.4 speed, but you dont see that in game at all.

Our most promising UDFA, Raymond Radway, most likely destroyed his knee on the second to last play of our preseason game tonight. Carted off with 3 seconds on the clock.

edit...shattered his leg, broke his fibula and tibia. He's going to need to get a rod inserted into his leg.

Any good RBs getting pushed off of a deep backfield?

2nd draft commencing...

I really like what I've seen out of Xavier Oman. Unlikely to make the 49ers Final-53.

Did anyone just see Blount and Talib on the sideline shadowboxing? There has to be a joke to be made there.

I hear Blounts a good boxer.

Giants backfield is crowded, especially with Da'Rel Scott dominating the preseason. Makes me think Ware or Andre Brown (most likely Brown) gets cut. Poor Brown, his injury really ****** him, so I hope he lands on a squad if/when we cut him

I think Ivory is going on the PUP list, so we'll go in with Thomas, Ingram, Sproles, and Joique Bell.

That guy! He has been outstanding for the Saints this preseason rushing 31 times for 182 yards avg 5.9 yards a carry. Also displayed great hands with 9 catches for 139 yards. No one has really stepped up to be our #2 back thus far, but this kid looks like the real deal. The Saints backfield is already very heavily loaded with Thomas, Sproles, Ivory, and Ingram. They may try to sneak Bell into the practice squad. If he gets cut, I sure hope our FO pounces on him real quick.

Don't count on it, the dude got hurt and still ran like a mad man.

Ivory will get PUP'd and they'll buy a few weeks before they have to make a cut. It would be Bell to get cut I'd think, but it won't be until a few weeks into hte regular season, if at all. He won't make it to the PS though.

They're replaying the Titans game on NFLN right now. His accuracy looks much improved and he's making good decisions with the football. Looks like he's on the right track and luckily for him, he won't be thrown in the fire early.

He was getting some time to throw. I never bought into the accuracy numbers while at the UW, he had very little blocking or open receivers for that matter.

Hopefully we will be able to see him more then that. It's not gonna hurt him to get some playing time before he is shut down for the season pretty much

I'm not complaining, this offseason has been the worst excluding the last couple of months.

He's been a Raider how long now? And he's going to miss 5 games as it is. Yet, you have him starting 5 games. The Raiders must be in serious, serious trouble by that time.
