Quick question... I am the acting GM for the Eagles in the GM Mock in the Mock Draft Forum. I have acquired the 18th overall pick for our first, third, and the bowtie. It is looking that Adam Carriker, Reggie Nelson, Michael Griffin, Poz, Timmons and Meriweather would be left. As of right now, my top three are Carriker, Griffin, and Poz, in no particular order. I would be picking soon and was wondering who you would pick. I can't seem to trade dow, but otherwise, I would do that. I am thinking about going with Carriker if he is left, but what would you do?

My pick is in about a half an hour, so if I could get any replies it would be great, but if it is after say 3:00, don't even bother. Thanks.

Don't bother with this anymore, it would be use less anyway. I got Griffin, so who would you say I should get with our second round pick?

You shouldn't have traded up, unless there is no 3rd round that is. I'll take a look at the players that have been taken and get back to you on your second Q

edit- Can you post a link I can't find it

It says GM Mock Picks and it is in the Mock Drafts forum. I plan on getting another 3rd rounder from a trade. But we'll see how it works. I tried to keep it realistic, but it was difficult to find trading partners for a right price.

As a veteran of these Forum Mocks, I recommend working out "tentative deals". Like if your guy is there, you can swing the deal and move up. If your guy goes earlier, you then keep your picks and can get better value. Rookie mistake, but not a crucial one.

That is a good idea, but I don't think the way the draft was going that they would have let us do something like that. I don't know, but I'll have to see if I can do something like that in the later rounds. That was the only fair trade deal I was offered, ad I got the player that most of us would want anyway. I was hoping I could get a deal worked out to move up in the early 20s to get ahead of the Pats, but the Bengals at pick 18 was the only good deal I could get. I think it was fair, as I only lost the first, third, and the bowtie. I am very confident I will be able to get the guys that we would want in the rest of the draft. The biggest position of need left for us is LB, and I am certain I will be able to get a quality LB early in this draft. Thanks for the info, it will really help me as this thing proceeds, but it is beginning to look like it is falling apart, because some people are pissed because they missed the whole first round, and didn't get to pick who they wanted.

It doesn't matter anymore, no one was participating.
