The defensive end from clemson was a one man wrecking crew vs. Virginia tech. I looked him up on the roster and he is a 6'5, 260 RS senior. First step quickness is unreal. From that game and looking at his measurables, I'm wondering why he isn't in the NFL already.

I don't get it.

I thought someone might have some insight as to why he didn't enter the draft last year. Is he an underacheiver? Am I stating the obvious by pointing out his talent? Is he really not good and i'm the only one who thinks so?

I watched the Tech game and I didn't see a one man wrecking crew. Looks the part but does underachieve imo. He flashes every once in a while but doesn't get off blocks enough from what I've seen. Wanted to see him dominate but looks a bit overrated based on what I've seen of him this season.

Actually, his first step is one of the knocks against him. He is a big, thickly built 3-4 OLB conversion candidate with long arms to keep blockers at bay. He does a nice job supporting the run and takes good angles to the ball. He also has a lot of experience rushing out of a two-point stance. A little bit stiff and lacking in athleticism though, so teams might be worried about how well he'd play in space. I'd rank him as a mid/late second or maybe early third rounder, but he could be overdrafted a little bit by a team that values physicality.

He just sucks. No motor. Horrible off the LOS. Easy to run at. Pass rush specialist at best.

the lt he was playing must have been really slow and bad then because he was beating him clean on most of the snaps I saw in the 4th quarter.
